Meiji (1868-1912) Japanese Reticulated Silver Basket Censer Koro with Chrysanthemum

The koro is 4 inches (10 cm) tall, and 4 inches (10 cm) wide.

A square bottle vase by one of the most sought after and influential of all Japanese ceramic artists, Kawai Kanjiro (b. 1890), enclosed in the original kiri box signed by the master, which we have had authenticated at the Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum (now endorsed on the top by his daughter, Kyoha). The pale crackle glazed vase dates circa 1935, and is decorated with flower like dabs of rust and cobalt typical of this period, with dark iron fading out from the square mouth and base...

A Matched Set of Four George II Silver Open Salts by David Hennell I, Founder of the Hennell Dynasty of Silversmiths. The Set was assayed in London in 1760. The dimensions are 2 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high. They stand on three cabriole legs and weigh a total of 9 Troy ounces. There is a small crest in the front of each. Excellent condition.

Sold, no price, no info. Very Ornate Scroll Vine Motif Silver Cross stamped 925 and a conjoined KS? on the full bail. The 18" chain has a mark that is either 925 or 950. Cross Suspends @ 2 7/8" X 1 1/2" across for total weight of 11 grams. Warm silver softness on the 'vine' design from use.

One of the most beautiful early pieces by Matilde Poulat that I have yet found. This c.1950's sterling, turquoise and amethyst bracelet is exceptional in every way. All of the stones are intact and look to be original. The amethysts are vivid purple and all stones are free of damage. The bracelet measures 8" end to end and is 1 3/4" wide. It weighs 72 grams and the push in clasp snaps tightly shut. Signed and numbered for Matilde Poulat "MATL" as shown. This piece is a treasure.
