This vase of meiping form was made in the 12th century during the Jin Dynasty (AD 1115 - 1234) at one of the Cizhou kilns in the northern provinces. It is "heavily-potted", made from a cream-coloured stoneware, the upper two-thirds of the body coated in a white slip, decorated with a floral pattern in thick dark brown/black underglaze pigment, then coated in a finely-crackled transparent glaze...
This very rare stoneware jar was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279), at one of the kilns in northern China where Cizhou wares were produced during the 11th - 14th centuries. Its purpose was most likely to be used as a wine bottle. It is heavily-potted and of a very attractive form, an almost egg-shaped body, with a short neck, flared mouth and loop handles on either side of the neck (although one has been lost)...
This rare porcelain wine cup was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) or possibly a little earlier. To the lower body is a band of moulded Buddhist rui lappets together with a moulded seal mark within the foot. The white porcelain body is particularly translucent, highly-fired with a high-pitched ring when tapped.

It is quite "heavily-potted" and coated in a clear finely-crackled glaze over a creamy-white slip, save for the unglazed foot. There are minor chips to the glaze around the rims but no repair or restoration...

This small and unusual porcelain dish was made during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). It has a foliated rim and moulded "ribs" to its underside. It is coated in a pale glaze that has just a hint of green to it. The thickness of the glaze varies in places, at its thickest it is slightly crackled, at its thinnest it has flaked from the surface a little.
