An oblong piece of golden brown amber with carvings in relief of two flying bats among clouds. Each bat has the tassled end of a rope in its mouth; on this rope are three coins. Bats and coins both represent good fortune. A translucent blue Chinese glass bead (Ming period)comes with the amber.

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain lidded wine pot or ewer moulded in the form of the character "fu" (good fortune) and decorated in famille noire enamels on the biscuit. The body is densely covered in a pattern of green tendrils and chrysanthemums set against a black background. A central figural panel features an attendant fanning the God of Wealth (Caishen). The panel on the opposite side is decorated with the God of Longevity (Shoulao or Shouxing) holding a staff...

Comprising a censer, 2 vases and 4 cabdlesticks. The censer and the two candlesticks in the center belong together, the other items were matched. H. Between 18 and 21 cm. Condition: the censer and the two candlesticks in the center are in a very good condition, even the separate handles of the censer are intact. The other two candlesticks and one of the vases have repairs to the corners. This set came from a Dutch private collection and was brought together in Beijing in the nineties...

Chinese Qing dynasty ovoid form porcelain fish bowl decorated around the circumference in underglaze blue on a white ground with lotus seedpods and scrolling tendrils topped by a border of alternating pendant spear points and ruyi heads. The pot tapers to an unglazed, flat, slightly recessed base. The interior, rolled rim, and raised rib under the rim are all glazed white. This vessel could also be used as a scholar's scroll pot for storing rolled handscrolls...

A Houtien nephrite jade pendant was carved nicely in Chinese character Sou(Longevity).
It was being worn by noble people for it's good metaphor.
It was in greenish tint better than in the pictures by preserving very good condition.

A Chinese paired apron wraparound silk gored skirt, woven in tapestry (kesi, kossu, k'o-suu) technique with some silver wrapped threads and painted details, attached to an undyed cotton waistband and trimmed by a brocaded band. The panels are showing an imperial imagery of the celestial landscape with five-clawed dragons and phoenixes, against a green ground. The "long" dragons were probably covered by peacock feathers, rarely survived to the present days...

Large Chinese porcelain jardiniere or fish bowl with wide mouth and flattened rim decorated with gilt crabs and fish swimming among aquatic plants on a powder blue ground. Unglazed foot and base. Some soiling to the interior from use and typical wear to the gilt decoration. This piece was purchased from an Arizona collection.
