An attractive example of a Worcester teapot with vertical ribbed design and hand painted with bands of gilt foliage and sepia colored scrolling feathers. Cast iron standing horse doorstop by Hubley, #345. Circa 1930s. Unmarked. This horse retains almost all of its original dappled grey painted surface. The figure is well modelled with wonderful detailing of the anatomical features. Excellent condition, some minor wear along the top of the neck and on one side of the horse. It is not easy to stumble upon a vintage Los Ballesteros carved "mask" ring but when one does find an example, what a feast it is! There is nothing "timid" about this piece. Chinese Western Han Dynasty Painted Pottery Attendant Figure

This pottery model of a male attendant, or servant, was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). The figure stands with hands clasped together under a wide-sleeved robe. Note the presence of purpose-made holes above and below where the hands would be where a flag or banner (?) would originally have been placed diagonally, and presumably made of wood so long since rotted away and lost...

This attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in white and reddish-brown pigments. This horse is well-modelled and stands upright and alert with its head turned slightly to its left.
