Interesting and decorative porcelain tsubo with underglaze blue, sometsuke and overglaze red yuriko decoration and gold accents.

This tsubo is in fine condition and does not have a box and the potter has not been identified. The piece measures 7.25" x 6.5".

Try describing this incredible Mizusashi covered in glassy Oribe green glaze by important artist Hayashi Shotaro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Spectacular is all that comes to mind. It is entirely sculptural, with a refinement of glaze only this artist can create. The piece is 7 inches (18 cm) tall, 9 inches (23 cm) diameter and in perfect condition. Elegant cap jar glazed in my temmoku with a runny iron tetsu partridge feather glaze. This cap jar resembles some Tamba and karatsu works and has a rich variety of iron, green and grey-black tones to the runny overglaze.

A spectacular and voluminous Tsubo by Furutani Kazuya enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki O-Tsubo. It offers a variety of kiln affects to the viewer, Hai-kaburi, Hi-iro, Tombo no me and a drippy blast of green glass. The shape is very much in the style of the great age of Shigaraki pottery, with an everted rim trumpeting from a broad shoulder.

Blasted and dripping with ash, a spectacular Shigaraki Mizusashi by Tanimoto Yo enclosed in the original signed wooden box. A shell juts from raw rippled wood lid like it was sticking up from the ripples of sand on a beach. It is 21.5 cm (8-1/2 inches) tall 18.5 cm (7 inches) diameter and in fine condition. Born in 1958 the son of Iga potter Tanimoto Kosei, Yo was raised among the kilns and has always had his hands in clay...

The deep sides of this striking vase are covered in shades of lustrous orange tinged feldspar by master craftsman Kato Yasukage XIV enclosed in the original wooden box titled Shino Hanaire and signed by the 14th Generation Yasukage followed by his seal. An outlandish image of bright autumn color decorates this set of sake flask and cup by Ito Motohiko enclosed in the original signed wooden boxes titled simply Tokkuri and Guinomi respectively.  Typical of this artists work, the vessels display a textured cloth surface called nunome, the raw clay decorated with bright large images of natural motifs.
