Ceramic work formed with paper coated with mad and burnt by me myself, Fumie Nishimura. ‘Hida Hida’ is a perticular Japanese onomatopoeia and would be somehow translated to “So frilled” in English.
H 4 x W 10.5 x D 12cm (1.57 x 4.13 x 4.72in). Very delicate and fragile piece so that some parts will be chipped, though I'll try my best to pack it very carefully...

Interesting and decorative porcelain tsubo with underglaze blue, sometsuke and overglaze red yuriko decoration and gold accents.
This tsubo is in fine condition and does not have a box and the potter has not been identified. The piece measures 7.25" x 6.5".

This piece was fired in "Anagama" small kiln with red pine fire woods for 10 days and 2 times. Ancient Shigaraki works was made of clay that was consisted weathered granite, it has very high fire resistance, 1300 Celsius degrees. Ashes of red pine tree turned to green glass ,it is called "bi-doro" at high temperature, and fierce fire made spectacle scene on the surface.
