A set of five E-Karatsu Mukozuke by Nakazato Tarouemon XIII enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Radically brushed birds rise up into the sky, framed by a vertical bars of iron; inside soft earthen white. Each is roughly 3 inches (8 cm) diameter, 2-1/2 inches (6.5 cm) tall and in excellent condition, bearing the Tarouemon three star mark on the base.

Maple leaves swirl in a vortex on this large rectangular platter by Ando Hidetake enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Rich iron leaves seem to float on or just below the surface as if floating in a pond, the suction from a surfacing carp drawing down, pulling the leaves around it. Excellent for display or use, it is 17 x 10-1/2 inches (43 x 26 cm) and is in excellent condition...

A simple white form by Yoshikawa Masamichi enclosed in the original signed wooden box, simply titled Wan (bowl). However, like the traditional Japanese robe which was decorated on the inside, this bowl holds a surprise for the holder in erratic blue graffiti on the bottom. This is a characteristic of this artist’s work, and this bowl is a fine example.

The deep sides of this striking bowl are covered in unusual shades of lustrous orange tinged feldspar by master craftsman Kato Yasukage XIV enclosed in the original wooden box titled Shino Chawan and signed By the 14th Generation Yasukage followed by his seal.  The coloring appears as if the bowl is still held in the whispering grasp of the flame, a bright yellow-orange which appears almost liquid in places.  Very unusual and a most unique piece by this important artist.

A superb example of the work of Tokuda Yasokichi IV enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kutani-yaki Sai-yu Sansai Tsubo. The colors sliding down and catching in different hues, yellow, purple ,pale blue, white and green. Staring into this surface is like seeing the complexity of colors forming water ripples on an impressionist painting. There is something very natural and unfiltered which captures the imagination.
