Signed "GEORG JENSEN 750 18K 1091 DENMARK", it is in very good condition except for a few wear lines, tiny scratches, and a tiny dent on the edge of the ring. This beautiful pin / brooch by Askel Holmsen has a diameter of 1 1/8". It is sterling vermeil with vivid, yellow enamel (basse-taille or guilloche) with a great design. The back is marked NORWAY STERLING, the Holmsen maker's mark / hallmark NORWAY STERLING 925 S,” and has the Holmsen maker’s mark which looks like 2 interlocking, horizontal V's: the are actually 2 overlapping silversmith tools. An unusual combination of classic Victorian insect jewelry and the patriotic color combination popular around the time of the Centennial celebrations of 1876. A stunning Art Nouveau 14K yellow gold pansy pin enameled in rich shades of dark plum, violet, cream and saffron. The jeweler used a matte enamel to suggest the velvety texture of pansy petals. The flower is centered with a prong-set round cut diamond that adds a nice sparkle against the matte enamel. The back of the pin is marked for 14K and also has a maker's mark that we've not seen before...

This is a really neat, rare, old charm. It is the game of Pachinko: an old Japanese lottery game. It is 14K gold and made by A.C. It features a rotating canister with little balls inside that move. The red and white balls are little stones; I believe the white one is a pearl. The bottom reads 14K A.C. It's in excellent condition.
