This is an exceptionally rare piece produced by Antonio Pineda, with his early "Silver by Tono" hallmark which dates 1948-1953. The design speaks to the influence of Valentin Viadurreta, for whom Antonio Pineda apprenticed in Mexico City.

Circa 1949-1953, this is a very rare pin from Antonio Pineda, bearing his "Jewels by Antonio" hallmark. It's a superb piece, with two huge amethyst cabochons on either side of an "X", creating an OXO design. Pin closes with a roller. Fantastic and rare sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet designed and signed in the 1950's by Hopi native american artist Preston Monongye(1927-87). 1 1/2 inches wide. Circa mid-century, this clamper was hand-wrought by Los Castillo, and it is spectacular. Wide, large, heavy, and collector quality. The snail shell design has graduated beading which curves gently around the sides. Very substantial, with a weight of 104.4 grams. Hinge looks to be old and original, and it's super tight and snappy. Couldn't be more perfect. Recesses are oxidized, giving depth which makes this a standout piece. Fully closed this will fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist. Width is 2 1/4"....

This iconic sterling silver brooch was designed & signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The eyes of the dragonfly are finished with a copper wash. Circa 1950's, this belt buckle is was produced by Antonio Pineda. I have never seen this one before, and it's quite similar to one which William Spratling designed. Antonio Pineda began his career working for William Spratling. It's hand-wrought with criss-crossing lines which are deeply carved with oxidized recesses.

Measures 2 5/8" x 15/16". I believe this will accommodate up to a 3/4" belt.

Weight is 34.9 grams.

Hallmarks date this Valentin Vidaurreta book-piece 1948-1955. Vidaurreta designed jewelry for himself, William Spratling, Fred Davis, and Hector Aguilar. As well he was a painter and illustrator. This very rare piece is shown on p.89 of "Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda". With an art nouveau design, it is an exquisitely crafted pin. It is also collector quality.

An elegant gilt sterling silver oval brooch by Kirk in the "Repousse" pattern. Kirk made a range of jewelry in this pattern but only a few were then gilt. With the addition of a bail to the back, this pin would make a very striking vertical pendant. The back is stamped with Kirk's hallmark from the 1932-61 period.
