This is a lovely 3-piece suite of earrings and a brooch, circa 1940's. The earrings and brooch have 3 layers of petals / leaves. The top of each one surrounds the turquoise stone. The earrings are screwback and measure 1/4" x 1/4" (x 1/2" high, from the lowest petal to the top of the stone). Each earring is marked SILVER MEXICO. The brooch displays 6 smaller stones with the same floral design with the top petals enveloping the stones. It measures 1 5/8" x 3/8" (x 1/4") and marked STERLING.

A triangular sterling silver modernist bracelet by Jondell, Mexico. Measures about 7 1/2" around the inside and 9 1/2" around the outside. Measures 1/4" at the widest. Slips onto my average size wrist easily.

Marked Jondell, Mexico and 925. Although it is hollow, it is made from thick sterling and has a substantial feel.

In fine condition with minor scuffs.

A vintage sterling silver parure by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr), design number 5127, in a classic design.

Necklace measures 15 3/4" long with the central pendant measuring 1 1/2" high and 2 1/2" across. The central pendant can be detached and worn as a brooch. The pin part is missing and would have to be replaced. The part of the catch that swings over to hold the pin in place is also missing. The necklace has a box clasp that holds securely...

These interesting turquoise and sterling silver earrings were made in Mexico. The clover shape looks like three hearts with a stem, with the turquoise inlay separated by the sterling silver. The back of one of the screwbacks is marked HECHO EN MEXICO 925 (of which only HECHO EN M and 9 are legible). They also have the maker's initials: a curved BEH, of which the H is not fully stamped. These earrings measure 1" x 3/4". The patina is great as are the turquoise colors.

Substantial and quite unusual in its design this modernist Mexican silver bracelet is an Enrique Ledesma creation and it is adorned with two faceted color-change sapphires. The bracelet’s shape reminds me of ancient torques yet here the two ends bypass each other in a tight, determined embrace. I love the way the sterling tube grows in diameter as it progresses to the bracelet’s front where it is abruptly cut at an angle to accept the gemstone in a crown setting...

One of Salvador Teran’s original designs that is difficult to find especially in the form of earrings, the “crouching man” is also a favorite of mine. Its rarity makes copies by Salvador's contemporary maestros avidly sought after and I am happy to present here an example by “3m”, a Taxco workshop known for emulating the renowned modernist’s work. Sterling silver, amethyst and strategically applied oxidation combine in this modernist interpretation of an ancient Aztec motif...

Reddish brown jasper with light, almost invisible striations attracts the eye in this absolutely minimalist necklace and earrings set bearing the signature of Felipe Martinez and his Piedra y Plata workshop. Martinez was one of Taxco’s best lapidaries and the tight settings, the seamless transitions from sterling to stone in the demi at hand more than attest to the level of his craftsmanship...

This great brooch / pin / pendant has a diameter of 1 1/2". It is slightly convex. The turquoise stone is inlaid (not enamel), very nicely. The back is marked TAXCO 925 STERLING (blurry) in a circle with very blurry initials of silversmith in the middle. The eagle assay mark is number 3, very lightly stamped.

This piece has a diameter of 1 7/8". The front has a great Aztec design. The back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO, STERLING 925, with assay 28 (stamping is blurry). The front is in excellent condition. The back shows some surface scratches.

A vintage cuff bracelet and/or pendant in the style of Ken Beldin in patinated copper and brass with central pottery heads. Both pieces are signed Xochitl Mexico. There have been some documented Beldin pieces also signed Xochitl and it was noted that she may have been his wife or mistress. A vintage brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a sterling silver overlay on a shell background. There are two small round inlays of copper.

Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked on the back with a partial Ledesma, Taxco, 925, and an Eagle mark. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition with some tarnish. The shell is a deep brown with lots of swirls.

Rare design.

A modernist brooch with a prong set amethyst frog on a stylized sterling silver leaf by noted Mexican silversmith, Carmen Beckmann. The leaf has raised veins contrasting with a smooth surface.

This piece is marked Sterling Beckmann and Mexico on the back.

It measures 3" long and 2" at the widest. Has an rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

This brooch is well constructed with layers of sterling. Love the three dimensional quality of the frog. Amethyst is in fine condition...

This great pin / brooch, circa 1950's, has a nice mod design. It measures 2" x 1 1/2". It features a mod foliate, floral and leafy motif, with buds. The "buds" are onyx cabochons. The back is marked TAXCO STERLING 925 in a circle with the artist's / silversmith's initials LC in the middle. This piece is in great condition and weighs 14 grams / .5 ounces.

An ode to Mexico’s ancient crafts this “tribal” necklace wrought in sterling silver with bone links and agate beads bears the signature of Reveriano (Reveri) Castillo. Though the Castillos did, on occasion, incorporate Aztec and Maya artifacts and beads in their jewelry, I believe that here the materials used are contemporary to the designer but brought together is such a way as to evoke ancient types of personal adornment...

Rarely available on the market this vintage, sculptural design by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda is simply stunning. The intricate melding of sterling silver and stone catches light at every turn. The necklace measures 15 1/2" wearable inches long. The pectoral measures 6 1/4" across & 1 1/2" high at the center panel. The necklace weighs 156 grams. Both stones and silver are in exquisite condition. Hallmarks on the back date the necklace to the late 1940's...

Gorgeous vintage silver and amethyst bracelet by Mexican silver Master Antonio Pineda. This is a hinged bangle bracelet that opens and closes on the side. I have not seen this exact bracelet before and believe it to be quite rare. It measures 7" around inside circumference when closed, is 1 1/2" wide and weighs a sturdy 148 grams.
