Mexico City Folkloric style was made popular by Matilde Poulat but there were other noted Maestros also producing stunning jewels of this style. P.OCHOA is one of those artists that I look for. The silver is thick repousse with unique skilled carving to the tops. This bracelet listed shows off a green oval stone in the center of a 1 5/8ths inches high center medallion. The weight is 70 grams and with No damage. Correctly signed as shown.

The scrolling foliage climbs 3.25 in. tall on this hand made beauty. It is also large enough to fit up the arm in comfort. It measures 2.25 at the small end and 2.75in. diameter at the larger end. This silver is thick weighing 197 grams. The barrels and hinges are also thick and strong enough to handle the mammoth size of the piece over all this time. This is an unmarked Mexico City very old piece. I believe it to be from the late 20's...

Being offered is a circa 1963 sterling silver necklace by Los Ballesteros of Taxco, Mexico, boasting a modern biomorphic design. Dimensions wearable 15 1/2”, 1 3/4" at its widest. Marked. In excellent condition. Necklace is solid silver, not hollow, and weighs a heavy 4 ozs. Los Ballesteros is one of the great Mexican silversmiths.

Rare and spectacular sterling bangle bracelet with inlaid black onyx polka dots by Los Ballesteros circa 1945. This big, bold , amazing piece measures 7" around in the inside total. Being offered is a circa 1960 sterling silver necklace by master silversmith Jose Anton of Taxco, Mexico. Anton was one of the earlier prominent silversmiths during the Spratling era. This sweet brooch depicts two adorable cupids, a boy and a girl, looking serene and loving. Their plique a jour (translucent enamel) wings are a pale purple or mauve color, nicely complimenting the 900 silver. The girl is wearing a tiny necklace of roses. The pin measures 1” x 1-3/4” and weighs 5.7g. The clasp might be a replacement, but the rest is all original, and the pin is in excellent antique condition...

Four amethyst bars set in 9970 silver ring by Antonio Pineda. Marked "ANTONIO TAXCO(in crown) 970 STERLING MEXICO eagle mark". Size 7 1/4 - 7 1/2 and in excellent condition. However, there is a slight chip in one of the amethysts that cannot be seen with the naked eye.....$20 for insured US shipping.

A rare heavy sterling silver brooch by William Spratling, Taxco. Measures 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Marked with the WS in a circle incised mark, Silver Mexico and 925. Has a slight dent to the center and is missing the rollover part of the clasp. A rare find for the collector.

Graziella Laffi signed on both the necklace and bracelet. The enamel is in perfect condition as well as the silver. The length is 7 inches and the necklace has a wearable length of 16.5 inches. 1.25in. for the height for both the necklace and bracelet. When I see these there seems to be some that looks very much the same but there is always a change with a fish or bird in different places and size. For all Laffi collectors, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A rare necklace and matching earrings made of alternating Sterling Silver and Rosewood tubes by William Spratling from Taxco. The marks on this set date them to his Third Design Period: 1951 - 1967.

Necklace measures 17 1/4" long. Marked on the back of the box clasp with the script WS and Eagle #30. Earrings measure 1" long. Marked on the back of one earring with the Script WS and with the Eagle #30 on the back of the other.

The clasp on the necklace snaps securely...
