A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50. The geometric design and the use of oxidizing is typical of Belgiorno, who is one of Argentina’s most well known artists in silver. A solid piece of jewelry that really makes a statement. Marked A Belgiorno, Industria Argentina T27 and 900. Open and adjustable, the inner diameter at present 18 mm which corresponds to size 6 ½. Condition: fine.

This Antonio Pineda tie bar is a wonderful example of his quality, modernist artistry. It is concave with a central bezel-set, oval amethyst cabochon. It is marked "ANTONIO TAXCO" (in crown), "970" and co-stamped with Los Castillo Cooperativo marks: "LOS CASTILLO SOC COOP SCL" in a circle with "SEC 2" inside (this Coop mark is double-struck--see pictures) and eagle mark "58." The tie bar measures 1 1/8" x 5/8" x 1/4" and is in very good condition.

A delightful and very rare Victorian pin depicting a woman's "safety bicycle". With a chain drive connected to the back wheels and structural supports that left room for petticoats, these bicycles gave women unexpected freedom. Susan B. Anthony claimed that bicycling "had done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world." This pin is worked in silver gilt and set with rose cut Bohemian garnets. The detailing is very nice...

Composed of flattened square links with rounded corners, this Scandinavian bracelet is classic, with a modernist edge. It's well constructed, with connecting rings that are securely soldered closed and a hook clasp. It shows marks for the assay city of Lahti and the year 1971; there is an unidentified maker’s mark of ANR. The bracelet measures 7 ¾ inches long and 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 12.2 grams

This beautiful brooch / pin measures 2 1/4" x 7/8" x 1/8". It features a leaf, inlaid with blue lapis stone, set flush in the silver. The back has a mark I cannot make out. This piece is in great condition.

Gorgeous deep red Mediterranean coral tear drop stones and center pearl in this sterling ring by Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs. It is a size 6 and sits about 3/4" high from the finger when on. Weighing 10 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. His work is increasingly harder to find since it is highly collected. A spectacular ring.

A Jay Flex sterling silver white rhinestones flower pin brooch circa 1950s by Jayflex. This vintage 2-3/8 x 1-1/16" pin has amazing flash from the large white claw-set rhinestones. The pin has a safety clasp, it weighs 6.8 grams and it is signed JAYFLEX STERLING. This brooch is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the slight yellowing of the larger marquise stone...

Beautiful sterling articulated necklace with many glittering crystal round and baguette stones and a pendant with a huge brilliant peridot green glass openback and unfoiled stone. Marked OTIS STERLING. Circa 1940. Substantial at 49 grams. The green color is much more intense than the photos depict.

Felipe Martinez opened his shop, "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950. A former sculptor who had worked with Hubert Harmon in the 1940's, Martinez was known for his work with beautiful stones which melded seamlessly into his silver designs. This bracelet features five chrysocolla stones with a trapezoidal shape alternating with concave silver panels. Closure is a tight and secure tongue in box, with a safety chain. The stones are absolutely gorgeous, with various shades of green and copper...

A pair of vintage sterling silver 'SLING' ear cuffs or earrings by Tone Vigeland for Norway Designs Plus workshop. Meant to be worn around the ear without the need for piercing. Designed in 1958.

Sterling bangle by California silversmith, Allan Adler, c.1960's. Handmade and of heavy gauge silver, it measures 2 3/8" diameter and is 3/4" wide. This very substantial piece has a decorative braiding on each side of the sheet silver. It is signed "ALLAN ADLER STERLING" and is in excellent condition. This past year seems to have been a Carmen Beckmann year for One Good Eye Silver. And even though I cannot claim it was because of planning, it has not been entirely out of luck either. One of the few female contributors to Mexico’s 20th c Silver Renaissance that we know of, Beckmann’s jewelry are works of a confident designer, impeccably finished and at her best moments, incredibly creative as well...

This sweet brooch depicts two adorable cupids, a boy and a girl, looking serene and loving. Their plique a jour (translucent enamel) wings are a pale purple or mauve color, nicely complimenting the 900 silver. The girl is wearing a tiny necklace of roses. The pin measures 1” x 1-3/4” and weighs 5.7g. The clasp might be a replacement, but the rest is all original, and the pin is in excellent antique condition...

This is the Hector Aguilar "Book and Bead" bracelet in 940 silver, c.1940. It is featured in all of the Mexican Silver books. It measures 7" around in the inside and is 5/8" wide. It is in fine original condition, has a pin closure and weighs 93 grams. Signed as shown. Classic Hector Aguilar.

Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile. The silver is cut unevenly to show the mouth and each measures 1" wide by 3/4" long. In excellent condition, each are signed "LOBEL STERLING". One of the best figural modernist designs ever executed.
