Pretty vintage pair of sterling silver and opal-like stone pierced earrings featuring a cabochon centered in a corded bezel, detailed with three small silver balls on the top and bottom, circa 1920, marked STERLING. Measures approx. 3/4" long. Front of earring is mint. The back has been converted to pierced and solder is visible.

A 19th century Scottish sterling silver banded agate pebble buckle brooch pin. From the early to mid-Victorian era, this large and dramatic pin measures 2-7/8 x 2-1/2". It has wonderfully striped and figured grey and white banded agate fitted stones with silver dividers and it has finely hand engraved and tooled decoration including a buckle, inner edge, decorated outer rim and an engraved pierced silver top. It has the original c-clasp and a loop for a safety chain and safety pin (absent)...

Composed of a curving piece of forged wire, these earrings evoke a feeling of graceful movement. Each wire design is attached to a constrasting static teardrop-shaped top. They have secure posts and a nice patina from age. They are unmarked, but test definitively for sterling. Each earring measures just under 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 5.7 grams total

A very stylish vintage sterling silver and carved green onyx bracelet from Mexico is made with six hinged sections. Three sections are faces carved in green onyx while the other three are half round green onyx pieces strapped with sterling silver. The width of the bracelet at the widest part is 1 ½” while the length is 7 ½”.

These late arts and crafts sterling silver earrings are handwrought and formed as oak leaves with a ‘berry’ at the base. They were made by Albino Manca (1896-1976), an Italian sculptor and metalsmith who lived and worked in both Italy and New York. (There is a statue by him in New York’s Battery Park). The earrings have very secure clip backs, and the mark of A. Manca Sterling is found on the back of one earring. They each measure 1 inch long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight:7.8 grams total

Hallmarks date this exceedingly rare Antonio Pineda bracelet 1941-1948.

Executed in 980 silver and signed with his early mark "AP", this is a truly stunning piece. Composed of ten trapezoid panels, each with a high domed amethyst cabochon and a silver dome, the links alternative up and down...

Composed of oval twisted-wire rings, this 1960s long chain is easy to wear and has a very contemporary look. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling and is very well constructed, with each link secured with solder. There is no clasp, just throw it on and go. When worn, the chain drops 19 ¼ inches long. Weight: 33.7 grams

Fabulous and early 19th century ring in silver with a center rectangular genuine pale aqua green beryl, genuine pearls, and surrounding tiny dark green stones which are probably glass. With two tiny illegible hallmarks. It tests positive for at least 800 or 900 silver. Ring size 5 1/2. The top of the ring is 5/8 inch by 5/8 inch. Excellent condition. Being offered is a large and superb circa 1955 sterling silver bracelet by master silversmith Jose Anton of Taxco, Mexico. Anton was one of the earlier prominent silversmiths during the Spratling era. Handcrafted bracelet featuring large circular links with incised design each with purple purple amethyst stone inlay (pictures do not illustrate the deep purple color of the amethysts). Dimensions: size 8; links are 1 3/4" diameter. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

Very rare brass and enamel pin signed "MACCHIARINI", c.1940's. Peter Macchiarini(deceased) was a very famous San Francisco modernist jewelry designer and his works are extremely desirable. The provenance of this piece has been identified by his son, Dan Macchiarini. He states that it was a private commission by someone wanting a clown face. This turned out to be a joint venture between Peter and his then student, Virginia De Haas, whom he later married...

A maestro from the middle period of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance, Carsi is among those Taxco silversmiths about whom we don't really know much. I have had pieces by him a few times over the years and I was pleasantly surprised to have found his signature on the ornate bangle bracelet presented here. This wire-work scrolled heart motif I am used to associating with Arte en Plata, even though I have seen it by other makers or even anonymous in the past...
