How big does a piece of jewelry have to be before it qualifies to be called monumental? I think at 4.25'“ tall, this Mexican Deco butterfly brooch definitely fits the bill. Fauna- and flora-themed pieces are not rare within the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry yet examples of astounding proportions like our brooch come far and in between. The semi-translucence of the stone is here enhanced by the variegated color which progresses from lucid white to sage green...

Great modernist designed mixed metals ring in silver and brass, possibly by ANTONIO PINEDA. It is signed "TONO 925" and is in excellent condition. This wonderful "lightening" ring has bolts of brass and silver set against an oxydized silver background. It is made of very heavy gauge silver, weighing 30 gms. and is size 9. Two vintage sterling silver hand wrought brooches by Stavre Gregor Panis, who was a member of the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts. One has a detailed floral and vine design and one has cut out gulls and a scalloped edge. May purchase individually or as a pair.
The rectangular brooch measures 2 1/8" across and 1 1/4" high. Marked with the SGP in a shield hallmark and Sterling. Very detailed cut work. Nice contrast of textured and smooth sterling...

Beautiful vintage sterling earrings with tear drop shaped, bezel set, deep red coral. These have clip backs and hold secure on the ears. Lovely floral design with silver drops between the stones and twisted wire around the center stone. They measure 1" by 1" and weigh 13 grams total. Fine original condition and signed Phyllis as shown. Excellent color!
Impressive Jugendstil silver brooch with a cabochon cut garnet. Danish, c 1900- 1905, designed just before the Skonvirke period. Marked C.S. for C. Sorensen in Copenhagen (1893-1937) and 830 for the silver content. Width "1 ¾ / 4.8 cm. Condition: fine.

Margot de Taxco large and rare earrings that have a huge presence. Beautiful repousse sweeps with a height of 1.75in. and a width of 1 1/8th inches. Weight is 18 grams.
The story of this Mexican Deco silver and turquoise hinged bangle is an interesting one. When it came to me, it had a rather hastily applied gold plating that looked both out of place and, should I say?, garish. I cannot understand why anybody would do such a thing yet many a time, in discussions with older bench jewelers, I have been told that a few decades ago this was indeed a trend of sorts...
A concave sterling bangle signed Hans Hansen Denmark 925S. For a smaller wrist and hand, it measures 2-1/4" ( inner diameter), is 1/4" wide and weighs 29.2gr.
