A 1930s pair of Mexican sterling silver & amethyst owl earrings. These screwback earrings are in the form of owls with natural amethyst cabochon cut stones. These 1" x 3/4" earrings are stamped MADE IN MEXICO and STERLING, and they weigh 12.0 grams. They are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A well crafted hand wrought bracelet with five rectangular links, each with a different floral repousee. Marked B, S & G for Black, Starr & Gorham. Also marked Sterling and Hand Wrought. Measures about 6 3/4" around and 1" wide. Hook closure fastens securely. Has a safety chain. Great Arts and Crafts design. Lovely work.

Signed Margot de Taxco Swanns is a coveted design. Even more difficult to find with all the repousse balls in perfect condition. All the balls are channel set making this item even harder to construct. The center reflects the age being open backed repousse. The center drop is 2 in. and the measurement across is 4 in. across. There is a curve at the top of the drop and a 17 in. wearable is estimated. The weight is 80 grams of perfection, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Modernist enamel by Madeline Turner, c.1940's. Similar concept but quite different artistically then preceding Turner listing. Also unsigned, not mounted, convex, and measures 2" diameter. Excellent condition.....$10 for insured shipping.

This lovely, early 1960's sterling silver pin is depicts a lovely grapevine. It is in excellent condition and measures 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" (as well as convex). The back is marked STERLING BY JEWELART.

Our photos don't do justice to these bronze and sterling silver artisan-crafted earrings. The curved bronze crescent shapes are bisected by undulating sterling silver forms. Each earrings is completely hand crafted, with the exception of the sterling screw back mechanisms. Circa 1960s. From the posts to the bottoms, the earrings hang approximately 3". Marked "sterling" on the screw-backs.

This interesting bracelet has a rough look to it, with irregular edges and iridescent, highly oxidized surface. The band is pierced as a belt, and is hammered into a strong but flexible construction. The hook clasp is secure and shows no signs of stress. The bangle shows very few signs of wear; it is unsigned and marked as sterling. It measures just under ½ inch wide; inner circumference is 7 inches. The bracelet opens about 1 inch to accommodate the wrist. Weight: 19.3 grams

Bold vintage German silver Art Deco locket and stylized geometrical patterned chain combine to create neck pizazz. The locket opens easily to hold two large pictures. The chain measures approx. 11 3/4"L and the locket measures 2" x 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" wide approx. The bale adds another 3/4" to the locket length. Excellent vintage condition. Wonderful piece that commands attention.

An elegant gilt sterling silver oval brooch by Kirk in the "Repousse" pattern. Kirk made a range of jewelry in this pattern but only a few were then gilt. With the addition of a bail to the back, this pin would make a very striking vertical pendant. The back is stamped with Kirk's hallmark from the 1932-61 period.

A finely detailed late Victorian adjustable child's sterling silver bangle c1900 (3/16" wide bangle measures 1-7/8" x 1-3/4" at rest and 3/16" wide, marked STERLING SILVER,deep and crisp design with leaves and berries on a lined ground) and a larger 2-3/8" x 2-1/4" spring style expanding bangle of the same vintage (1/8" wide, maker GJ LTD). This modernist sterling silver necklace features a pendant centered with alexandrite crystal and cultured pearl was designed c.1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. The chain measures 22 inches. The 3/4"L alexandrite crystal changes colors with the light from rich reds to deep blues and purples. The large pearl is a luminous cream. Signed on the back of the pendant with the ANTONIO's CROWN & TAXCO hallmark...

Over the years of my career as a vintage Mexican jewelry dealer I have come to love and appreciate the "mask" pieces created by the Los Ballesteros workshop. I have to admit that this was not a "love-at-first-sight" affair. On the contrary, it took me some time to realize that prolific though they might have been, especially in the post-1980 years which witnessed a drop in creativity as well, the specific workshop excelled in the production of superb jewelry centered by carved stone effigies...

This wonderful 1940's, Mexican necklace consists of decorative, linked hearts that meet to form a pendant of 3 hearts with a central cone-shaped ornament. The hearts have a lovely, foliate, stamped, raised design complimented by a small, bezel set, turquoise cabochon (in different shades of blue and green). The necklace is 20” long. Each heart measures 5/8” x 5/8” (at its longest and widest). The central pendant, marked “MEXICO SILVER” on the back, measures 2” x 1 3/8”...

An English, Victorian slide locket. To both sides a design of water lilies with the floating contours of Art Nouveau. Lion passant, anchor mark for Birmingham, date mark for 1901, and maker’s mark ESB (?). A ridge inside the locket indicates that it might have been equipped with a mirror. Diameter "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: fine.

These earrings display a detailed, applied matador and bullfighting (nicer than pictures). Each is marked MEXICO C.F.R .925. They measures 3/4" x 3/4" at widest and longest.
