A vintage brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a sterling silver overlay on a shell background. There are two small round inlays of copper.

Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked on the back with a partial Ledesma, Taxco, 925, and an Eagle mark. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

This William Spratling Mexican Silver Bracelet is from his first design period 1931-1946 and consider one of his most iconic designs. It measures 7 1/4" long by 1" wide and weighs 70.6 grams of sterling silver. Hallmarked with the WS mono, Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver. It is in good vintage condition with some light wear, tarnish, and has developed a lovely patina. Early style pin closure and attached safety chain. A great vintage bracelet for any collector.

This sterling Hobe bracelet with the peridot and ruby bezel set stones is wonderful. I have not had the stones tested. Each stone is set in a floral motif. It is hallmarked on the back "Hobe and sterling. It is 7 1/4" long x 1" and has a spring closure.

I love the old hand made flies. They are so realistic and these are in 2 sizes. One is 1.75in. long and 1.25in. wide. This one is a pre-1948 980 TAXCO hallmark and weighs 6 grams heavy. The other is a bit smaller but not without detail measuring 1.5in. tall and 1 in. wide. The weight is 4.7 grams heavy. This one has an eagle 3 and is hallmarked EML IGUALA. The wings are wonderful and bent in an active position. The smaller one even has the dots/holes that a real fly has...

Elegant silver filigree brooch, a Norwegian solje. Less exuberant in style than most filigree solje brooches, without any enamel or gilt - just two shimmering roundels and the traditional chains holding the little pendant ornaments. Silver standard mark 830S and the pin hook with the three crowns of the Swedish hallmark – the brooch was made around 1900 when Sweden and Norway were united (the union was dissolved in 1905). Width "1 ½ / 3.7 and height "2/ 5.3 cm. Condition: fine.

Ca 1960 A fabulous wide sterling cuff by Francisco Rebajes featuring a smooth gray banded agate stone encased in twisted wire. Marked Rebajes Sterling in one corner where there is a very slight/minor curl. There is also some light spotting and minor wear appropriate for its age. Please disregard the line showing up to the right of the stone. Width is 2-1/4"~ inner diameter 2-1/8". The stone measures 2" x 1-1/8".

Spectacular design and execution in this sterling and coral cuff braclet by Santo Domingo silversmith Julian Lovato. This great 3-piece set (parure, suite) has a modernist design, with leaves swirling into buds. The brooch is also a pendant. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is marked TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING 925 Assay Mark 3 and V.A. (for the silversmith). The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1/2" x 1 1/4", marked TAXCO V.A., as well. This 3-piece set is in great condition and has a good heft.

One of Hector Aguilar's most iconic designs done in his signature 940 silver. Known as the Fertility Bracelet it is featured in the books "Mexican Silver" and "Silver Masters of Mexico". A visit to Maisel’s Trading Post was de rigueur for tourists visiting New Mexico before the store closed in the late 1960s after Mr. Maisel’s death. Distinctly Egyptian Revival in its inspiration, the set of Mexican Deco dangle earrings at hand reminds me very much of elements in Margot de Taxco's "Cleopatra" parure; more specifically, the feathers of the "vulture crown" the pharaoh is wearing.
