This sterling silver ring features a ‘taco’-like folded design with a zigzag band inside sitting on its edge. The inside of the folded piece has been deeply oxidized with a translucent finish. The ring exhibits various kinds of tool marks. The ring is possibly Norwegian, with a mark of 925S inside the band; there are also maker’s initials of JPC, possibly for Danish silversmith Jens Peter Clausen of Copenhagen (1973-1981). This interesting fob is the setting for a sterling coin. It is a Prussian 2 Mark coin. On one side is the face of Friedrich (presumably) and his wife, a Maltese cross, and the words “FRIEDRICH * I * 1701 * WILHELM * II * 1901”; on the other side is an eagle with a crown above, and “DEUTSCHES REICH 1901 ZWEI MARK”. The rest is white metal. The swivel clasp has a mark, which looks like a plow. We haven’t been able to track it down...

Made by Kupittan Kulta of Finland is this pleasant, silver, leaf brooch. The long leaves are slightly concave, curving alongside a bezel-set, amethyst cabochon "bud." The brooch is signed, “anvil mark” (for Kupittaan Kulta), “crown in heart” mark (for Finland), “813H” (silver fineness), city mark for Turku and “H7” for 1961.
It measures 2 5/8” tall x 5/8” at its widest point. It’s in excellent condition.

Formed as parrots with flowing tails, with sharply molded detail. One clip mechanism is slightly loose, but both are in good working order, with a patent application number that dates to 1931. The backs bear the Los Castillo/Taxco/Made in Mexico marks, as well as the design number of 168A. Each bird measures 1 7/8 inches long by 1 3/8 inches at the widest part. Gross weight: 26.6g
These collector quality mid-century earrings are a very seldom seen design from Hector Aguilar.
These are gorgeous, comfortable to wear, and have great movement. Each earring has nine dangles, each tipped with a tiny silver ball. Screw backs work perfectly,.
Measures 1 3/4" tall, 3/4" wide.
Weight is 12 grams.
Signed and hallmarked on each earring with a conjoined flared HA,.940 Taxco, and the eagle assay 9.

A long necklace with silver and copper links and a central warrior shaped pendant in mixed metals attributed to Los Castillo.
The chain measures 24" long and has a hook clasp. The central pendant is made from married silver, copper, and brass metals and has an inlay of some kind of green stone. It measures 4" long and 1 3/4" at the widest.
Marked Hecho en Mexico on the reverse which is brass. Has some surface scratches and shows a little wear. We did not polish it...

This is an exquisite piece, c. 1910. It is made of 830 vermeil. The filigree-bordered circles suspend 3 blue enamel flowers with white centers. The filigree design between the circs have a similar dangle with a central, white cab. This spectacular brooch measures 1 1/2" across (1 3/4" w/ extended pin). It measures 2 5/8" from top to bottom. The back is marked 830 with a maker's mark I cannot make out.

Modernism at it's best, this 970 silver & inlaid shell bracelet was designed & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Measuring 1 1/2" high at the front with a wearable interior length of 6 3/4", the bracelet weighs 86 grams & is in beautiful condition. The slide in clasp & safety chain are tight & secure. This design is pictured on p.152 SILVER SEDUCTION: THE ART OF MEXICAN MODERNIST ANTONIO PINEDA.
Circa mid-century, these earrings are the work of Salvador Vaca Teran.
Teran worked for William Spratling before leaving to work with his cousins at Los Castillo - creating many of their earlier designs.
These earrings are a perfect example of his distinct abstract designs, biomorphic and modernist.
Measures 1 5/16" at the widest part.
Weight is 18 grams.
Signed and hallmarked "Salvador" in script, and "Sterling Mexico", along with the design # 144.

A wonderfully crafted 950 Sterling Silver cuff bracelet by Miyé Matsukata who had Atelier Janiyé in Boston. The bracelet has a large sphere at one end and a smaller one at the other. It tapers towards the wire wrapped ends.
