Straddling the divide between Aesthetic and Arts and Crafts design, this hinged sterling silver buckle bracelet was, I believe, made in the USA based on its hallmarking. The entire surface of the front "wing" is etched with ivy leaves, a motif beloved by the Victorians it seems, while the back is left blank, as is usually the case with bracelets of this type...

Very early gold-washed sterling mirror/photo round locket by William B. Kerr Co., Newark, c.1865. Has beautiful defined Victorian design on both sides. One side was meant to hold a photograph and the other, a mirror. The mirror has seen it's day, so two photos are fine. One side has a slight bend(see photo #3). Otherwise, very excellent condition. Measures a generous 1 1/2" in diameter with original bale and signed "Kerr mark STERLING 7", which indicates it is one of the very early Kerr designs...

An irregular-shaped piece of polished moss agate, mounted in a sterling bezel, dangles in the center. The entire pendant is suspended from a substantial sterling chain of forged wire. One of the forged links near the hook clasp bears a crown with a W above; another link is marked with an overstruck W. Two of the links indicate sterling...

A classic, and much published, design for Hector Aguilar, the “masks” bracelet was not an example of the Taxco maestro’s work that I was particularly looking for. I considered it - let’s say - less impressive than the rest of his jewelry and resisted it for the longest of times. Until one day, I somehow ended up with one. And I fell in love- honestly...
