A pair of Hobe sterling peridot crystal stone earrings circa 1940s. This fine vintage sterling silver pair of unsigned but probably Hobe earrings have peridot green coloured facetted crystal stones. They are in the form of flowers, and measure 1-1/8" across. They are indistinctly marked STERLING on the screwbacks. They weigh 16.9 grams, and they are in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
One of the few female designers of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance that we know of, Bernice Goodspeed arrived in Mexico's capital in 1930, according to Bille Hougart. Even though she and her painter husband, Carl Pappe, identified as writers and artists primarily, they opened a shop in Taxco where they sold not only their books and artwork but also jewelry that Bernice herself designed...

Based on an original, almost impossible to find Margot de Taxco design, the repousse "swans-in-a-row" bracelet I am presenting here is wrought in fine, .980 silver and is a little masterpiece. I think suggesting that "A.E.M", whose initials can be found on it, was a maestro who worked for the Los Castillo and/or Margot de Taxco is not a far-fetched hypothesis. Not only is this piece very close to Margot's creation, it is also extremely well made, very sculptural and has crisp, rich detail to it...

A great, 950 sterling silver cuff bracelet by Haroldo Burle Marx with a large bezel set 'Forma Livre' opaque black carved stone.
Marked 950 and BURLE MARX on the inside. Measures 6 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures 1" at the widest. Weighs 104 gr.
Fine condition. There are some minor surface scratches to the finish. There is a slight separation at the underside of the bezel but the stone is stable.

Spratling designed this lovely work of art in the 1940's. The sterling silver basket holds 3 hand carved chalcedony stone flowers in varying shades of color. The brooch measures 2 7/8" across X 2 1/2" high & weighs 47 grams. The pin is in beautiful condition & fully hallmarked for Spratling on the reverse. This beauty is signed Nestor who was a little known Taller but is known for their own original designs. This necklace was crafted somewhere around the early 50's and is properly hallmarked as shown. 2in. x 2in. is the height and span of the purple stone drop. The Stone is 5/8th in. across and is without chips. The stone is not a color changing synthetic as it stays true in color and with a flood of light shows a pink cast underlying the purple...
A beautifully made sterling bracelet of concave triangle shaped links by Danish Modernist Bent Knudsen. The bracelet clasp is one of his ingenious screw bolt clasps. Measuring 7" end to end, it is 1 1/8" wide and weighs a solid 86 grams. Fine original condition and signed as shown. A wonderful Danish Modernist design.

Here is a nicely designed, solid pair of Mexican sterling silver earrings. They are decorated with balls and curls around center squares, defined by a subtle patina. They are marked sterling, but bear no maker’s mark; the clip backs are in good working order. They measure about 1 inch square.
