Wonderful deep carving on this sterling silver bracelet, signed by artist, titled "The Bear", 1970s era.
Measures 1 1/8" deep, is 6 1/4" on the outside, with a gap of 1 3/8", and is slightly flexible.
In the traditional Northwest Coast form, the bracelet is curved, with abstracted form lines creating a cultural figure, in this case, a bear.
The work is especially fine, very deep carving with cross hatching and detailing over the entire surface...
We are offering an Antonio Pineda moonstone bracelet with early hallmarks. This design is one of his best and I love his older works the best. I have shot the photos trying to poise the moonstones at different lit angles for you to see the colors in the moonstones. There are no chips or damage and all are clear. They exude a blue hue that dances in the moonlight. The bracelet has a warm, natural patina and weighs 85 grams heavy. Fits up to a 7 in. wrist. The height is 1.25in...
This Los Castillo is an early design 592 and crafted when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Antonio Castillo. This is not for the faint of heart with a .5in. depth, 21 inches long and 1.25in. tall. Showing further quality is the weight of 183 grams. It displays a naturally darkened patina. I have showed a picture of the well working clasp as it is old in style and almost invisible. Love this on, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
