Reminiscent of Scandinavian style, this bracelet features lovely openwork panels molded with graceful calla lilies. The panels are securely linked with ribbed sterling bands; the back of one panel bears an applied plaque with a patent number of 121373, which was granted in 1940 to Victor Primavera, who founded Danecraft. This delicate sterling silver bracelet features lavender cloisonné enamel panels enhanced with rhinestones that alternate with square-mounted rhinestones. The edges of the panels are textured to give the feel of millegraining. The bracelet is well made, with scrolled details in the enamel work, and securely soldered connecting links. It has a good heft, despite its delicate appearance, and an original spring-ring clasp in good working order...

One of the most energetic Taxco modernists, Sigi Pineda enjoyed a long, creative career. Prolific and ever “on the move”, he was at his best working within the confines of minimalist design. Sigi rarely used “unnecessary” ornamentation, depending more on fluidity of lines to imply motion, colored stones to impart texture, oxidation to add dimension to what are mostly flat surfaces in his jewelry. A maestro from the middle period of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance, Carsi is among those Taxco silversmiths about whom we don't really know much. I have had pieces by him a few times over the years and I was pleasantly surprised to have found his signature on the ornate bangle bracelet presented here. This wire-work scrolled heart motif I am used to associating with Arte en Plata, even though I have seen it by other makers or even anonymous in the past...

A modernist pair of sterling silver screw back earrings by Charles H. Cole, born 1908 and active 1930s-50s. He signed his work with a face hallmark. The facial features spell out his last name. Also signed Sterling and ©. Screw backs are also marked sterling.

Measure about 1 1/8" long and 5/8" at the widest.

Hand made, you can see very light hammering. They are in a floral design with cascading tendrils. Screw backs hold securely. Fine condition, from a talented silversmith.

Modernist globular silver earrings by renown Finnish designer Liisa Vitali whose characteristics are pierced, cut-out shapes. The Leppäkerttu / Ladybug collection appeared around 1970. Together with the Pitsi / Lace series it belongs to Vitali’s most popular designs. Swedish import marks (three crowns in an oval and S) and 925. Diameter of the little globes: "3/5/ 1.5 cm. Condition: fine.

Of an organic design, with a concave disc bearing a group of applied spore-like elements. The finish exhibits a volcanic iridescence. The band is of graduated width, and is well-marked for Helsinki, Finland, sterling silver and the date symbol for 1971 in an impressed rectangle. A second rectangular mark reads E. Granit Co. Design Jewellery. The top measures 1 inch by 7/8 inch. The ring is sized at about a 5 ¼. Weight: 9.5 grams

A lovely Arts and Crafts period 830 silver high relief rose Skønvirke brooch circa 1900. This antique 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin has a long c-clasp and it is marked simply 830. It is quite likely this piece is Scandinavian, it is entirely consistent with early Skønvirke ("beautiful work") made popular by fine Scandinavian silver makers. It greatly resembles early Bernard Hertz work, but is not signed, other than the 830 silver mark...

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Although could be a higher content - the weight is dense as with many early pre assay jewelry. Early wide C catch. By one of Spratling's or Aguilar's contemporary silversmiths no doubt.

(B) Rhodium plated with 8 half round Carnelian looking claw set stones. Each half moon shape is 30 X 15mm and although quite even coloration, no bubbles noted.
