A pair of modernist sterling silver clip earrings, #116 B designed in 1955 by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for Georg Jensen, Denmark. The B indicates that these are the larger examples.
Measure 1/2" across and 7/8" high. Marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark and style 116 B. There is another very tiny hallmark on the end of each of the clips but we can't make them out. May be a U.K. import mark.
No need to have pierced ears, these are clips which hold securely...
This whimsical midcentury sterling silver bracelet features large, novelty charms on a thick chain, all marked Mexico; it was probably made for the tourist trade. The charms consist of a ewer, a replica of an Aztec calendar stone, a bell, what looks to be a cooking utensil or pot, a sandal, a sombrero and a jug. All show very little wear. The bracelet’s box clasp is marked Castelan, a Taxco maker, and has marks for Mexico and sterling, including an eagle 15...
A dramatic, wide cuff set with oval pieces of turquoise-colored glass cabochons in beaded bezel mounts. The cabochons alternate with pairs of stud-like protrusions that contrast with the Victorian-like settings. The cuff is unmarked, but looks to be a white base metal on the inside with a good bit of surface wear and bubbling; the outer portion is silverplated and shows tarnish. One of the cabochons exhibits chips at the edge of the mount, but is stable (see Photos 1 and 3)...
Early sterling silver SB earrings attached to a card that reads: Original Jewelry by Frances H. Boothby, then Art Shop Munson - Williams - Proctor Institute, then Utica, New York without a zip code making this pre 1960's.
The original box also has the Art Shop info sticker. The mark of "fhb" could be under the screw back findings which are marked Sterling and are identical to others on FHB earrings...
