De Witt Parshall, Santa Barbara, California, 1864-1956. This oil on board is 16" by 20" in a 4" frame. Overall dimensions are 24" by 28". It is signed on the front lower left and also signed and titled verso "Night". It is in excellent condition in an original American Period frame. Parshall studied in Dresden, Germany as well as Paris in 1887-88, He has an extensive exhibition record including the World's Columbian Expo in Chicago in 1893 and the Corcoran Biennial 5 times 1908-1937...

Oil on canvas painting of an extensive mountain landscape, 16" by 20", unsigned, unframed. This is a decorative work that needs a cleaning and a frame. Note how the extreme upper right edge, which had evidently been hidden under a frame, shows the true colors of the work. A regular size, framing this should not be expensive, and it's possible that a careful cleaning to remove the soiling might not have to be done by a professional.
