An oil on canvasboard painting of the California desert, painted in unusually pastel-y color palette, signed at lower left by artist Alzira Maria. The piece, 22" by 28" (28" by 34" framed) features an almost Cubist handling in the distant mountains, reminding of artists such as Andrew Dasburg. The painting is clean and wall-ready. Frame is attractive distressed wood style, and liner and gold fillet are in good condition.
A very well-painted mid 20th century copy of the famous 1864 HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879) painting of two Moliere play characters, "Crespin et Scapin", (sometimes known as "Crespin et Silvestre"), that original now hanging in the Musee d'Orsay in Paris. This work, painted on the smooth side of a pressed wood panel, measures 22" by 31" (26" by 34 1/2" as framed). The current painting is very faithful to that original work...
A 1978-dated, oil on board painting of a Mid-Century looking building, apparently under construction, in an urban setting, signed at lower right "JAN BAZANOWSKI". The work, 17" by 23" inside the double mat and 24" by 30" in gold metal frame (no glass) is in excellent condition. Frame has some scratches and mat is soiled and could be replaced. The painting is simply very interesting, and unusual; would work well in a Mid-Century setting...

Oil on canvas painting of a Paris street view, signed lower right by listed French artist ROGER DEVERIN (1884-1973). The oil measures 18" by 21 3/4" (23 1/4" by 26 3/4" as framed). Written in pencil on the old backing is the name of the artist and the title: "La Rue du Moulin de Beune Paris". The circa 1950's work is in generally excellent condition. There is a very small less than 1/4" length disturbance in sky showing as a light spot...
