Signed E.M. Washington, titled "Race Mixing", number 2 of 30, with date of 1932, though was printed in the 1990's.
Image depicts a violent scene, a black man attacking a nude woman, with knife in his hand. Maybe an image of a racist propaganda poster or leaflet, or an original by Washington...

This is a fine block print by Kansas artist Clara Colline (1881-1945) The title written in pencil lower left is: Wind in the Cottonwoods. THis image done circa 1920 is hand signed in pencil and has an image size of: 9X11 3/4 inches. Colline was a student of Birger Sandzen. His influence is clearly seen here.

Daniel Tretiak tells us that in 1967 Haku Maki produced an alphabet series, Poem A-Z. He did all the letters of the English alphabet. This is Poem W, a strong rendering of the hiragana for You. Tretiak says: The image has a bold white sun in the top half with two dashes of rain-like strokes. It is in wonderful condition.

Original woodcut circa 1930's, the subject a man working machinery in an urban setting with high rise buildings, stamped at lower right margin with the estate stamp of American artist IRVING GEORGE LEHMAN (1900-1983). The work is unframed and currently housed in a mat, and is taped at extreme top edge in two places, to that mat. There is a roughly rectangular pressed-in area of the paper at lower left and some wrinkling of the extremely delicate thin paper at bottom...

An early (circa 1920's) woodcut print titled at lower left margin "Pikes Peak", numbered there 8/100, and pencil signed at lower right by early, historical Colorado artist HAIM DAVID SPIVAK (1893-1932). The work measures 4" by 5 7/8" inside the mat and 9 1/2" by 11 1/2" in black strip frame. This sharply printed piece shows the famous Colorado mountain near Colorado Springs, a farm or homestead in the foreground. Spivak's works are rare, as he died at age 39 of a brain tumor...
