James Carroll Beckwith, 1852-1957, NY, Illinois, France. This oil on panel is exquisite, 35.5cm by 26.5 cm,(13 5/8" by 10.5") signed, and in good condition in a beautiful 4" gold leaf frame. Provenance: Private collection in the Midwest, Purchased from a Private Collection in Florida, Purchased at Thomas Moran Auction, Private California Collection.

A beautifully executed oil on canvas painting by George Harland, a noted British artist. The scene depicts a man returning in a rowboat at dusk. It combines elements of luminism and impressionism, and was done when both of those styles were in fashion. Harland was a highly thought of painter and was exhibited at the Royal Academy in London in 1907.

The painting is in excellent condition, with no impainting or restoration...

Large oil by J. Syer (1815 - 1885) British, this pleasant country scene was painted in 1870. It measures 51 1/2" wide x 38" high on the inside of the frame. On the back of the canvas there is a label that reads "Scene on the River Llugwy, North Wales." and says to keep the label attached for authenticity. This canvas has been relined, and there is a very tiny puncture on the left side near the fence.
