I believe the work is likely by a listed artist but I cannot come up with any listing from the name, at least as I am reading it. Perhaps more research might identify the artist. The painting is competently executed...

Oil on canvasboard, 12" by 16" (17" by 21" as framed), signed at lower right by artist CURT PAULSON. I do not see a listing but the artist had a skilled hand. The style reminds a bit of California desert painters William Darling or Fred Chisnall. There is impasto, vigorous brush stroke, and a grayish blue light over the scene. Apparently original whitish antiqued frame completes this ready for the wall package. Condition is excellent.

Oil on canvasboard panel painting of a scene in the French Quarter of New Orleans, 19" by 8" (24 1/4" by 12 1/2" framed), signed at lower right with what appears as "Dettick" or "Derrick". This work was likely created for the lively tourist scene in the French Quarter in the 1960's or early 1970's. It has been suggested that the artist is one "Dick Nick", who has been an active participant in the New Orleans Jackson Square art scene from the 1960's. Condition is excellent.

A whimsical, colorful painting of a cat, signed at lower right with initials "C.L" and dated there 1980. The work is on canvas, 21" by 25 1/4" framed. The unknown artist was certainly talented. Further research could possibly determine his/her identity. The painting is in very good vintage condition. There is a bit of light soiling here and there but no punctures or other issues.

The artist was surely familiar with Natkin's work...

Oil on canvas, 8" by 10" and 1" wide frame, the subject a classic plein air landscape of the low desert. It is signed "Geraldine" at lower right, and on reverse is the inscription "To Dad Happy Anniversary from Mom". The painter was talented but no doubt still an amateur. This is a pleasant decorative painting that is ready to hang on the wall.

Large and exceptional oil painting on board by Robert Lohman (American, 1919-2001), offered in excellent condition. This painting measures 27" by 47", painting alone and 34" by 54" in its original frame. It is signed and dated 72 l.r. Provenance: from the artist's personal collection. Robert Lohman was a sculptor and a painter. He studied at John Herron Art Institute, at Cranbrook under Carl Milles, and at Yale. He was director of Fine Arts at Cranbrook from 1947 to 1949...

A small unframed oil on Masonite painting, 8" by 10", signed at lower left indecipherably, the work a fantasy landscape painted very much in the style of acclaimed California artist Eyvind Earle (1916-2000). The neon green sunlit strip, the surreal shadows cast by rocks there, the bare tree, the hillside, all are reminiscent of Earle's work. A silvery frame might work on this. Surface is a bit dusty, and heavily varnished. There are some very light drips of something at right center.

An impressionist oil on canvas painting of an old late 19th century American church in a western city, as snowcapped mountains loom at right, signed at lower right corner "Crossen '75". This might be by a listed artist, Michigan-born Preston McCrossen (1894-1981), who worked in New Mexico. amd California. I have googled brick churches in western cities to try to identify the subject...

Cape Ann Harbor Scene oil on canvas 20" x 16" unframed Russ Webster was a long time resident of Lynn Massachusetts. He worked as a commercial artist at General Electric in Lynn Massachusetts. He studied in Rockport with Wayne Morrell, Paul Strisick and especially Emile A. Gruppe, who remained a long time friend and traveling companion. His studies with Gruppe took him to Florida, Northern New England and Europe. He paints in a characteristic Cape Ann style clearly influenced by Emile A...

A large oil on canvas, 36" by 24" (44" by 32" framed), the subject a number of circus clowns, skillfully painted, signed at lower right by noted American clown artist ROBERT OWEN (1930-). Owen was born in Polk County, Missouri. For many years he has been recognized as a master at painting clowns. Reproduction prints have been made from many paintings. This example is in excellent condition. Note also the interesting framing.
