An antique truly American painting (not the more common similar-looking English scenes) with feathery tree at left, a few simple wooden houses, distant church steeple, and two tiny central figures, a manageable size at 22" by 30" (29 1/2" by 37 1/2" in the likely original framing), apparently unsigned. This old work came out of a dilapidated local home, having no doubt hung there for decades. When found it had a sheet of glass over the canvas...
Oil on canvas laid on board portrait painting of a young girl in a fine blue dress with lacy edge, circa 1875 (possibly, earlier?), apparently unsigned, I feel likely American or perhaps French origin; hard to say. The antique work, 40" by 19 1/2" (45" by 25 1/2" framed) has a folky ambience to it, in the American east coast tradition, but I suppose we should not eliminate its being of European origin...

Oil on canvas painting of the famous Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy, signed at lower right with a signature that looks like Gianni XXXX, and dated there 2000, the piece measuring 17" by 23" in green framing. Oil on canvas painting, unsigned, 24" by 12", in pinkish wood strip framing. The colors of the painting could be described as creamy light pink with some green. The work might have some age as it appears that "12-81" is written on the stretcher, possibly a date; and olden-days "$2.03" price is stamped on inside of the frame. There is a three-dimensional relief in places, where the artist spread the paint. No varnish, dull surface.

Impressionist painting of harborside buildings, apparently American as original "$70.00" price on reverse appears adjacent to title "Fishing Village" and the 1965 date---although the subject appears more European. Work is on Masonite, and measures 18" by 22" as framed in white and black painted wood. That framing is scuffed and soiled, shows its age.
