A beautiful and very rare Pair Chinese Qing Dynasty Marriage Lanterns In Eggshell Porcelain “100 Boys”. The lanterns with thickly potted porcelain stands of baluster form and painted with boys playing in a landscape above the ever foooted painted with a ruyi head border containing flowering prunus on stylized grey clouds. Each measuring approximately 12.75” on their stands

A really nicely painted oil on canvas landscape of a whitewashed, red-roofed farmhouse, a lane leading up to it, a dog, several tiny figures and a large feathery tree completing the scene, 13" by 16 3/4" (18 1/2" by 22 1/4" as framed), signed at lower right "G Zannoni" and dated below that with what appears as an 1860's date (partly under the frame, hard to see). The work may look slightly primitive close up but when viewed from normal viewing distance it all comes together as intended...

An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon depicts the most central event in Christianity, the Nativity of our Lord Christ.

The icon is finely hand-painted in bright colors and gold on gesso on a wood panel. It depicts Baby Jesus laying in the cradle in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes, with a Bethlehem star shining from above, flanked by the Virgin Mary and St Joseph.
