Rare oil on canvas painting dating to the pre-statehood Territory of Hawaii days, 12" by 16" (15" by 19" framed), the subject given in pencil on stretcher as "Flow Up Falls" (resembles photos of the Big Island's Rainbow Falls), signed "SMITH 20" at lower right (and "SMITH" appears again on the reverse of the canvas and on the label still affixed at lower right). This is a scene of the Big Island, with 13,000 foot+ snow-capped Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa visible in the far distance...

This is an Oil on Canvas depicting a Woman Carrying a Child; there is another Child alongside. Signed LR: ABRIEDA. The size is 7.25" X 9.25". This Work is unframed. From a Delaware Estate date this Painting circa 1900 or first 1/4 of the 20th Century. jpgs tell the rest.

Oil on canvas laid on board painting of small boats in a harbor nocturne, painted in a highly impressionistic hand, 10" by 14", unframed, signed at lower right by the noted Spanish artist LUIS GRANER Y ARRUFI (1863-1929) (sometimes known simply as Luis Graner). The scene is likely in Spain, where the artist is known to have painted harbor scenes of Barcelona...

Large example of the work of the much-storied American artist "T. Bailey", circa 1910, measuring 24" by 36" (32 1/2" by 44 1/2" framed). This is the largest example I have been able to find, after a search of the auction records...

This work needs some TLC, due to a large rip, unstable and missing paint, and grime......a vintage late 19th century/early 20th century work on canvas, 18" by 30", unframed, apparently unsigned, the subject one of the volcanoes of the Pacific Northwest. The painting should be saved for posterity, but for that to happen, it will require relining, cleaning and inpainting by a professional restorer. If you are a restorer yourself, this would be an ideal acquisition.

Abbott Fuller Graves 1859-1936 American, Boston This is an early still Life of Flowers, oil on chamfered panel by American artist Abbott Fuller Graves. Created circa 1900 this painting is signed lower left corner and has an image size of 8 5/8 X 6 5/8 inches. Good condition with a few minor cracks in the panel, unobtrusive. This painting is housed in a period gilt frame. Graves worked with both Edmund Tarbell and Childe Hassam who he met while studying in Paris at the Academie Julian...

Oil on canvas, 30" by 25" and 1 1/4" wide frame, unsigned, the subject two ladies and a cradled baby, in a traditional European interior of the nineteenth century. Due to the stretcher and canvas weave, I believe this is actually a work by an American artist, who skillfully copied a master work from Europe (probably Italian, or, Tyrol area/South German?)...

Here is a classic old painting on gray academy board, the subject roses in a vase, 20 1/2" by 14 1/4" as framed, signed at lower right "M Say" or similar. It likely dates to circa 1900, at a time when young ladies were expected to take up painting as a domestic skill, and still life of roses was always a most popular subject. Today these works are sought after by those decorating in the shabby chic style...

This painting is something of a mystery, in that it depicts a fantastic classic castle on a hill, obviously in the Old World, a donkey pulling a card in the foreground......yet, there is a modernity to the work, especially in the somewhat cubist handling of the lines of the architecture, but, also, there's modernity in the entire structure of the image. Oil on canvas, 50" by 31", unframed, signed on the spine of the book at lower center in true trompe l'oeil style and dated there 1901. This is a beautifully painted work by an historical painter of late 19th century California, ALBERT JENKS (1830-1901). It is already quite impressive as it is, but, with a gold frame around it, I can envision this gracing the wall of a law office or museum...

A circa 1910 small oil on canvas landscape of a forest pond, signed at lower right "O. Sch". This 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" work (9 1/2" by 11 1/2" framed) came from a local family of German heritage. Their art, some of which I acquired, came with the family from the old country. This work has some condition issues, as the canvas over the decades has buckled, with sharp horizontal roughly parallel "ridges" now apparent, as well as craquelure...

An untitled oil on board painting by Lionel Macdonald Stephenson (Canada, 1854-1907) depicting a rocky shore line with island. Famous for his paintings of Fort Garry (Winnipeg, Manitoba), this 12-1/4" x 9-1/4" artwork is in a period (repainted) gold 17-1/2" x 14-1/2" frame. It is signed on the lower left, and it is in very good condition with a small scratch below the grouping of rocks, some dirt (a cleaning is warranted), and some losses and damage to the frame...
