This exceptional oval 60" x 32" French Painting is Signed Gustave Bouvard?? The painting was purchased from an antique dealer in Baton Rouge, La and he said the painting came from Napolean Bonaparte's Brothers Estate. It is signed in the lower left corner and is in Excellent Condition. Has original frame and stretcher. We are researching this painting and if you have any information please advise.

Oil on canvas painting of a dark-skinned woman, 26 3/4" by 7 3/4", unframed, signed at lower right by artist Destaalem Tadesse and dated there 2007. The long, narrow work will fit beautifully on a narrow wall in need of some color. The lady is holding a bowl of fruit, and a decorative background complements the figure nicely. A strong oil on wood portrait of a gentleman sporting a long ponytail, and wearing a large black hat, a ruffled white shirt, a brownish-gray jacket. Cleverly executed to look like the painting is oval and in a mat, in actuality the entire surface is painted and is not a mat.

The condition of this work is excellent, with no issues or restoration. The frame, which is modern, nicely complements this work sight size is 6 1/2" by 4 1/2", with the framed size being 8 3/4" by 7".

Oil on linen laid on board, 16 1/4" by 23 1/4", the simple modern frame about 1 1/4" wide, signed at lower right by listed California woman artist M.E. HODGDON, not dated but likely before 1920.
