A Stylized Bird Painitng by Priest Joong-Kwang (1935-2002): Korea, this painting mounted with brodcaded cloth and wood framed.back. This bird (Penquin?) painted in ink on paper and dated 1970s, signed Joong-Kwang and a red sealed with Joong-Kwang in Korean. It’s in very good condition, and measures 68cm x 44cm (26 3/4” x 17 1/4”) painting only..

This is a early 19th century portrait of a New York Lady wearing a fur. It appears she is wearing a fur wrap. The oil on canvas portrait measures 26" 21 1/2". The portrait was purchased from the family from Woodstock New York. The name of the lady in the portrait is Mrs. Duenner. We have all the provenance and will advise more later. At this time, I am attributing this portrait to have been done by Sheldon Peck. It is very rare to see fur in paintings...

Large oil by J. Syer (1815 - 1885) British, this pleasant country scene was painted in 1870. It measures 51 1/2" wide x 38" high on the inside of the frame. On the back of the canvas there is a label that reads "Scene on the River Llugwy, North Wales." and says to keep the label attached for authenticity. This canvas has been relined, and there is a very tiny puncture on the left side near the fence.

"Western Hills" oil on board 12" x 16". Henry Martin Gasser was born in Newark, New Jersey on Oct. 31,1909. He lived, studied and worked in New Jersey for his entire life. He was a painter, lecturer, teacher, illustrator and author. A Master at watercolor and oil his work consisted of, in his own words, "everyday subjects that are available to most of us-street scenes, back yards, trees, old houses, etc I looked for them in front of houses, in backyards, public parks, and elsewhere"...

A great pair of reverse painted coaching artwork. Displayed beautifully in burl and eglomise frames. First painting shows coach with huntsman heading from London to Oxford. The second painting shows the ride home from Oxford to London. In excellent condition. Minor scratches to the frames. Colors vivid for a reverse painting of this age. These are probably from the 30's. Frame measures 18" by 13"...

A fine miniature portrait painting, on natural organic material, done by John Alexander McDougall. The sitter is a distinguished gentleman dressed fashionably in a ruffled blue shirt, light blue vest, and black coat.

The miniature is in excellent condition, with no problems or restoration. The brass case is also without flaws. The photo of the back does appear to have blemishes, but these are label residues...

Samuel John Peploe, Britain, Edinburgh 1871-1935. This large impressive dreamy impressionist painting is oil on canvas, signed lower right and on stretcher bar. It is 24 2/16"H by 36 3/16" W in a newer impressionist style frame 37 3/4"H by 49 5/8"W. It has been lined with some scattered inpainting. Peploe studied at the College of Art in Edinburgh and the Academie Julian under Bouguereau and a member of the Scottish Royal Academy...
