Original diptych (deep etch on zinc) by Wendell H. Black (USA, 1919-1972), circa 1961. 12 1/2 by 23 1/2 each. Titled l.l. and numbered 7/25. Signed and dated "Wendell Black 61 by Elaine". From the first edition of this work, printed posthumously by Berkley Chappell, and signed by Black's widow Elaine. No lifetime edition exists. cf: The Lost Works of Wendell H. Black, plates 22 and 23. The model in this diptych, probably the artist's wife, is also on the cover of the book.

Armin Landeck (American, 1905-1984) - York Avenue, Tenements. Original signed drypoint etching. Dated: 1938. Small Edition of 100. Signed and dated by the artist in pencil in lower margin. Armin Landeck was a noted American printmaker. Landeck attended Columbia University in New York, where he began printmaking. At the Art Students League, he studied under George Bridgman and later with the English printmaker Stanley William Hayter. During the 1930s, he produced many city views of New York...

Nicolas Mignard, French, 1606-1668, "Perseus Slaying Medusa". Etching by Nicolas Mignard after the frescoes of Annibale Carracci depicting scenes from Homer's Odyssey. Plate size 9 7/8 x 17 5/8, published by Pierre Mariette in 1637, with lettering in Latin below the image. Printed on a very early watermarked laid type paper.

David Y. Cameron 1865-1945 British This is a rare original etching and drypoint by Scottish artist David Cameron. The title is: Wingless Chimera, Amiens Cathedral, it was created and printed in 1911. Hand signed in pencil, this etching measures an image area of 7 5/8X9 3/8 inches. Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet. This image was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1911. This image appears in the Rinder catalog as image number 416.

Anders Zorn 1860-1920 Sweden This is a fine portrait etching by European artist Anders Zorn. This pencil signed etching titled Guill II was created and printed in 1918. The image measures 7 3/4X5 3/4 . This pencil signed impression is lightly evenly toned and archivally framed. This image appears in the zorn catalog as image number 165.

A small etching of one of the classic old buildings of America's oldest coastal cities, perhaps New Orleans or Charleston South Carolina, titled "Street Cart", numbered 91/150 and signed "Godzala" or similar. The etching measures 3 3/4" by 2 1/2" inside the mat and 10 1/4" by 8 1/4" in the silver metal frame. Condition is excellent. The piece likely dates to the 1990's through present. I do not see an obvious artist that would correspond with the name.

ONE OF A NUMBER BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**This is a small etching (the sheet 7 1/2" by 5 1/4", respectably matted but not framed), by the noted California artist HARRIET GENE ROUDEBUSH (1908-1998), titled at lower left margin "Chinatown" and pencil signed at lower right by the artist...

Original etching by Jacques Callot LE MASSACRE DES INNOCENTS printed in 1622 in Nancy. Lieure catalog number 427, second state of two, good size margins, excellent impression of this important print. Small crown watermark on the paper, slight darkening in the corners where the print was mounted, overall in excellent condition. Plate size 134x110mm, paper size 157x127mm.

This is a very rare pencil signed etching by Sir Francis Seymour Haden; it is an early proof, from before the edition published in Hamerton's 1880 'Etching and Etchers'. Original unframed etching on paper, 8 1/8" by 12 3/8" inside the mat (the sheet 10" by 14"), signed in the plate and dated there 42, and pencil signed in the nearby lower right margin by the noted American printmaker LUIGI LUCIONI (1900-1988). **ONE OF SEVERAL PRINTS BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**, this is no doubt a Vermont landscape scene, as Lucioni's prints largely deal with the classic mountain scenery, barns and farms of that rural state...

Samuel Palmer 1805-1881 British This is an original etching by British artist Samuel Palmer. The title is "The Early Ploughman" It was created in 1861. The image measures 5 1/4X9 7/8 inches. THis is the 6th state of eight. Printed on a medium weight laid type paper. Partial watermark visible upper left. This image appears in the Palmer catalog as image number VII.

David Muirhead Bone, Scottish, 1876-1953, "The Jetty, Gorleston," Etching, drypoint, image size 6 3/4 x 10 7/8 inches, 1934, pencil signed and plate signed l.r. and l.l. "Muirhead Bone".

Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.
