This large print is an etching on paper in dark brown ink, and a heavily inked example at that, the subject apparently "Turkish Cemetery", according to a pencil notation in the upper left margin. Measuring 19" by 20" inside the mat (28" by 28 1/2" as framed), the work is signed in pencil in margin at lower left with the distinctive signature of the noted English modern art figure FRANK BRANGWYN (1867-1956)...

**ONE OF TWO OF THIS PRINT IN MY SHOP (this one in better condition). **Etching of Victorian children playing in an interior, 10 1/2" by 8 1/4" inside the mat, 16" by 13" framed, pencil signed "R. Ernst" at lower right. This is an unusual medium for the artist, best known for his highly finished and detailed oil paintings of Orientalist subjects of North Africa and the Middle East. These oils regularly bring hundreds of thousands of dollars at auction...

Stanley Anderson 1884-1966 British This is a rare early drypoint etching by British artist Stanley Anderson. The title is: Perivale, a small town outside of London. This etching was created and printed in 1911. The image measures 5 3/4X9 5/8 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower border and titled lower left border. Printed on a medium weight watermarked with initials, laid type sheet. Fine use of plate tone in the sky area.

Etching on paper laid on card, the subject a marketplace in the Jewish Quarter of Amsterdam, signed with "ML" initials and "927" as if a date (not the typical signature of the artist, apparently added later either by him or some other party). This is a work "Judenstrasse in Amsterdam", 1909, by famous German artist MAX LIEBERMANN (1847-1935)...

William Lee Hankey, European, 1869-1952, "Marie of the Fields", Drypoint etching, image size: 7 7/8 x 4 7/8 inches, ed 100, 1919, printed on wove paper, pencil signed with artist's blindstamp. This image is considered one of the artist's finest work.

Alphonse Legros, French, 1837-1911, etching, "Les Bords De La Liane", image size: 5 7/8 x 7 3/4 inches, c. 1900, pencil signed lower right. This airy, impressionistc etching depicts a man fishing in a forested landscape. Provenance: Baldwin-Wallace College.

Original scarce and desirable unframed 1915 etching known as "New York, From Brooklyn", signed at lower center in pencil by the important American etcher, illustrator, critic, author and teacher JOSEPH PENNELL (1857-1926). The sheet, unframed, measures 11 1/4" by 15 1/2". The artist needs little introduction, as he was one of America's most prolific graphic artists, having produced many, many etchings and lithographs, not to mention watercolors, oils and drawings...

Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.

Description: Wonderful gilt etching and aquatint of a sailing ship, superbly and delicately executed, early 19th century era, securely housed in a fine wood frame and since I didn't want to cause any damages to this nice frame, therefore I couldn't examine the item out of frame, but it looks fabulous and condition is great. Dimensions: sight 6" x 5", frame 12" x 10". Shipping is FREE within the U.S.

James Abbott McNeill Whistler This is an original etching by American artist James McNeill Whistler. The title is: The Adam and Eve Tavern, Old Chelsea. This etching is plate signed with the butterfly monogram in the upper left sky. The image measures 7X11 15/16 inches. Printed on a medium weight laid type paper. This etching was created in 1878. It is the third state of 3. A rich impression of this scarce composition.

Original oversize deep etching on zinc by Wendell H. Black (American, 1919-1972), one of the last plates Black worked on before his death. Titled and numbered 7/25 l.l. Signed and dated l.r. 23 1/2" by 35". In excellent original condition. From the first edition of this work, posthumously printed by Berkley Chappell.

Plate signed etching, 13" by 10 1/4" inside the mat, the sheet 16" by 13 3/4", titled "Rue de la Glaciere", 1937, by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). The original edition is given as 400 or 500 examples; later restrikes might exist. I do not know if this might be one of them. The paper is very thin and delicate and appears ribbed as would laid style paper. I do not see any watermarks...

Arthur J.T. Briscoe 1873-1943 British This is a fine original etching by British marine artist Arthur Briscoe. The title is: The Main Brace, created and printed in 1929. The image measures 13 11/16X9 15/16 inches, printed on an antique wove type sheet. It is hand signed with pen and ink and also numbered 39/75. " This view of men hauling in on the brace while at the same time keeping their balance in the heeling ship as a spray sweeps over the weather rail."

Etching of a lady removing her slipper, 6" by 7 3/4" inside the mat (13 1/2" by 14 1/2" framed, to be shipped with no glass), pencil signed at lower right margin by the noted French twentieth century master ANDRE DUNOYER DE SEGONZAC (1884-1974). This is a beautifully executed work , showing the artist's skill in draftsmanship and the graphic arts. Like many of his works, this image is suggestively erotic in nature...
