Baillie began his career in the late 1830's as a picture framer in New York City, and then worked as a colorist for the Currier and Ives firm. A vintage, circa 1940 lithograph print of a man's head, pencil signed at lower right margin "Barsick" and "imp." appears in pencil at lower center (meaning, artist printed it himself/herself). I do not see an obvious listed artist with which this signature might correspond. The piece measures 13 1/4" by 10 1/4" inside the mat and 17 1/2" by 14 3/4" in simple black strip frame.
