This is a hand colored lithograph of the species Petroica Goodenovii (the Red-capped Robin, of central and southern Australia), drawn by the famous 19th century English naturalist, ornithologist and natural history illustrator JOHN GOULD, the lithographic plate produced by his assistant Henry Constantine Richter (1821-1902)...

Lithograph on paper, 22 1/4" by 25 7/8" inside the mat (30" by 23" as framed), signed in pencil at lower right and numbered 47/180 at lower left, by important 20th century Spanish artist EMILIO GRAU-SALA (1911-1975). This is an apparently clean example (not examined out of frame) of the lithography of this major European artist, the paintings of whom command well into five figures at auctions in Europe and the USA...

Large folio size print, sheet measuring 18 1/4" by 24 1/2" inside the mat, 27 1/4" by 33 1/2" as framed, titled at bottom. This image was produced by Currier in 1868, but I believe this example to be a high quality hand colored RESTRIKE of a later date. It's a great image, with grandparents in their snug Victorian 1860's New England interior, a roaring fire and their granddaughter indicating the other seasons of life. The print is in excellent fresh condition; allow for reflections in glass...

Lithograph, 14" by 21" inside the mat, signed in the stone at lower right, from an unknown edition possibly of about 5,000 examples, the title "Ma de Proverbis", 1970. This is extremely clean and fresh with bright colors not having suffered any fading from light exposure. The piece is accompanied by a bright green mat and simple black metal frame of the period. Allow for reflections in glass.

This is a circa mid 20th century still life lithograph of a pineapple, pomegranate and other fruit, signed in brown ink at lower right and numbered 41/90 at lower left by noted School of Paris artist ROGER CHAPELAIN-MIDY (1904-1992). The artist's works bring into the five figures at auction in the US and Europe, and the still life is his specialty. This print measures 12 5/8" by 9 3/4" (20 5/8" by 17 3/4" as framed)...

An example of the 1957 poster of a seated nude, titled "Andre Derain Dessins", by Galerie Maeght. The lithograph is framed in a silver metal frame with orange backdrop. Measurements are 25 3/4" by 18 3/4" (30 1/2" by 24 1/4" as framed). Derain was a major French artist in the first half of the twentieth century, renowned early on for his Fauvist works and later for a wealth of works, both drawings and paintings, many of which depicted the female nude. Interesting, graphically arresting, colorful original lithograph from 1978, 27" by 19 1/2" inside the mat, protected in simple metal frame and plexiglas (not assembled currently), of a 1978 exhibition at the Museo Espanol de Arte Contemporaneo in Madrid. The upper quarter contains most of the print, the middle is the colorful area, and at bottom in large print is the word "MIRO"...

Lithograph, subtly colored in black, tan/gray and white, numbered at lower left margin 8/100, pencil signed at lower right, by one of England's earliest Abstract Expressionist painters, FRANK AVRAY WILSON (1914-2009). The print measures 25 1/4" by 19 1/2", and is presently housed in a simple metal frame which has wear. Wilson was an active figure in the art scene in London from about the late 1940's, peaking artistically in the 1960's, before ceasing exhibition and promotion in the mid 1970's...

Original stone lithograph, not an offset print, 23 3/4" by 26 3/4" inside the mat (not examined out of frame), signed in the plate by the artist Jan TOOROP and dated in the plate 1915. Executed primarily in black, note the color----pale orange in the cap and shirt, blue in the trousers. Toorop is a major Dutch artist, one of whose works (painting) just exceeded $700,000 at auction. His prints and posters are much more affordable. I don't see that this one is pencil signed...

By French School of Paris (L'Ecole de Paris) artist ROGER CHASTEL (1897-1981), a color lithograph print on heavy paper, possible title "Nature Morte", numbered in pencil at left margin 115/220, and with blind stamp "GG" in a circle. Chastel was active as an artist for decades, beginning at a very young age. By the 1920's he was already exhibiting. Later in life, his works were exhibited internationally...

This is a matching PAIR of prints, one of shorebirds like snipe, the other of partridge-type fowl, each print measuring 13 1/2" by 19 1/2" inside the mat (18 1/2" by 23 1/2" as framed), both by ALEXANDER POPE, JR. (1849-1924), a noted American artist from Boston who is known for his Harnett style trompe l'oeil paintings of harvested wild birds, and sporting and wildlife art. Pope was from an upper class background, and he had a lot of time to paint...

Original late 1960's lithographic poster, "115 Bank Street", by the famed modern artist ALEXANDER CALDER (1898-1976), printed by Mourlot. The piece measures 28" by 21" in orange metal framing (not examined out of frame). It is in acceptable decorative condition, the colors bright, but due to past moisture exposure, there is a vertical rippling pattern and in the lower three inches, there is some water staining, as shown in the photos. This is a puzzling piece; a print in colors, appears to be a lithograph, not an offset, measuring 13 1/4" by 9 1/8" inside the present mat (21 1/4" by 25 1/4" as framed). It is signed "Picasso" in the plate at lower right in the image and dated below that 21-6-20. I don't believe this is from the period, nor do I believe it is listed in a catalogue raisonne; rather, it appears to be some kind of later reproduction perhaps after a drawing or painting.
