Artist J. Beverdam portrait of a blue man, lithograph 22x17 inch
A rare print by surrealist print maker Ozaku Seishi, professor emeritus from Tama Art University. He is best known for small edition etchings, usually up to 30 copies, limitless experimentation with printing techniques and surrealist, often graphic imagery resembling distorted reality ¬neither quite explicit nor quite horror, but rendering a fairly dark version of dreams.
This lithograph on Arches paper is from a 1994 portfolio titled “Constitutional Fantasy”, vol...
After the Salvador Dali 1959 painting "Virgen de Guadalupe", this is a circa 1982 pencil signed lithograph print measuring 28" by 16 3/4" inside the mat (36" by 25" as framed). The piece is pencil signed at lower right and numbered 132/300 at lower left. This particular print is widely considered a late, unauthorized edition so is offered strictly as manner of or after the great Dali's work, the signature not by Dali, who died in 1989 and was not signing in the years before his death...

By the highly important German impressionist and expressionist artist LOVIS CORINTH (1858-1925) is this rare lithograph of 1921/1922, "Die Markgrafin von Bayreuth" (translating as "Countess of Bayreuth"). The sheet measures 8" by 5" inside the mat opening, and 9" by 6" in total. This print is signed in pencil by the artist at lower right. Corinth is considered one of the giants of German 20th century art...
This is a true lithograph, numbered 170/200 at lower left margin, pencil signed by the artist at lower right, the title of the work given on reverse label as "My Beloved is Like a Roe". The lithograph is by the important Jewish artist THEO(DORE) TOBIASSE (1927-2012). Tobiasse has often been compared to Chagall and Picasso, with his figure-based, personal, dreamy interpretations of themes like the exploration of one's heritage, exile, and Biblical and erotic fantasy...
This is an example of the rare and desirable Currier print "Woodcock Shooting", 1852, measuring 14 1/2" by 19 1/2" inside the mat, 20 1/4" by 25" as framed. Some of these are offered in fine print shops to $4,000 if in excellent condition...
As Haku Maki aficionados know, Maki did many prints depicting the kanji for ox or bull. This one, Z-200b, is one of his great bulls. One of a small edition of 75, it is 12.5 in wide X 19in high. The print, created in 1999, is in excellent condition.
For another wonderful example of Maki's ox-making, see Item#1452034 below--a brilliant Big Red ox.

One of a number of William Russell Flint prints in my shop, this is a fresh and clean example of the fine Flint photolithographs issued for collectors over a period of decades. This example, published in 1957 in an edition of 700, is signed in pencil at lower right and bears the characteristic embossed blindstamp in lower left margin. The title is "Rosa and Marissa". The print measures 18 3/4" by 24 3/4" inside the mat and 27" by 33 1/2" as framed...
"William Hogarth" "The Beggar's Opera" and
"A Just View of the British Stage" The Works of William Hogarth" as published by Baldwin, Cradock and Joy in 1822 with the original plates restored by James Heath, engraver to His Majesty. The Heath edition was the last to print directly from Hogarth's original engraved plates. All William Hogarth prints appearing after this date are copies of these original graphic works of art...

PAIR of French mid century lithograph gallery posters advertising upcoming exhibitions by artists JEAN LURCAT (1892-1966) and VERA FABRE (1912-), the Lurcat 26" by 17 3/4", the Fabre 25 5/8" by 19" (identical sizes as displayed, 30" by 24", in simple frameless Plexi assembled with clips). These are very stylish modern graphic works that should complement your Mid Century interior. Lurcat is perhaps best known today for reviving the art of tapestry...
Poem1 mu 無 depicts the kanji for not, none; this character often precedes another character to negate it. Maki liked this character and did it many times. He produced this one in the 1990s.The print is no. 568 of an edition of 777 and measures 11.25 sq in.
This is an example of the MARC CHAGALL (1887-1985) lithograph "The Tribe of Joseph", from The Jerusalem Windows series of the early 1960's. Measurements are 12 1/2" by 9 3/4", so, this is I believe from a book, and it is much smaller in size than the edition of 150 pencil signed version of the print. It is however a true lithograph and not a dot offset print. I examined this out of the frame (and it is loose under the mat currently, floating)...
