Lester George Hornby 1882-1956 American This is an original color aquatint etching by American artist Lester George Hornby. The title is "Le Fete a Pantin", it was created and printed in 1911 in an edition of 25. The image measures 9 3/4X14 5/8 inches. This etching is hand signed in pencil lower right and printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

A large print of the steam and sail ship "La Touraine", the sheet approximately 25" by 36", total dimensions of frame 34 1/2" by 45 1/2". This is a highly decorative item for the nautical and marine art collector. The artist who created the painting on which the print was based was American FRED PANSING (1844-1916). His original art is expensive and scarce, but many prints were made after the paintings. Pansing was born in Germany and was in New York City by 1865, a sailor...

THIRTEEN prints in total, varying in size, the largest (the set of ten) measuring 12 1/2" by 9 3/4", TWO initialed in pencil in the margins by the noted Ukrainian-born, French artist SONIA DELAUNAY (1885-1979). Ten of the prints are from the 1930 set of approximately 40 stencils "Compositions/Couleurs/Idees" published by Editions d'Art Charles Moreau. George Elbert Burr 1859-1939 American This is a fine original etching by American artist George Elbert Burr. The title is Evening, a very atmospheric impression, both pencil signed and titled. The image measures 12X10 inches. Printed on a medium weight buff toned laid paper. Very rich and fine inking on this image. It appears in the Burr catalog as image number 124.

Artist’s proof of two sumo wrestlers titled KOTOZAKURA by Clifton Karhu. The print is perfectly rectangular - any distortions of the paper are from photography. An artist's proof is a print that is set aside as a reference by the artist and usually marked AP rather than being numbered and included in the main edition. Kotozakura Masakatsu (1940 – 2007) was a Japanese professional sumo wrestler who made his professional debut in 1959, reaching the top division in 1963...

One of a number of Whistler lithographs I am offering: "Portrait of Stephane Mallarme", 1892-93, measuring 3 1/2" by 2 3/4", mounted with hinges at top corners and in a protective sleeve. A label of Davidson Galleries, Seattle remains with the print. There are several condition issues. There is a jagged paper tear of about 1" at upper left, extending roughly down the level of his ear, though, well to the left of it, in the unprinted area...

Photograph titled in the negative at lower left "Douglas and Juneau Alaska view from Mt. Jumbo", signed again in the negative at bottom center by "E. Andrews photo". The photo measures 11 1/4" by 18 5/8" inside the mat and 19 1/2" by 26" framed. According to information taken from the internet, the photographer, ED ANDREWS, was born in Norway in 1872, arriving in Douglas, Alaska in 1897 as a young man during the Klondike gold rush years. Joseph Pennell 1857-1926 American This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Joseph Pennell. This image is one of his Panama Canal Series that he created in 1912. The image is titled: The Walls of Miraflores Lock, 1912. The image measures 18 1/2X24 3/4 inches, on a Fabiano watermarked laid type paper which measures 20 1/2X25 1/2 inches.

Original handcoloured etching and aquatint by T. Sutherland after William Heath. Published by Jenkins, London March 1st, 1814. Image size : 8.5" x 6". Mounted size : 16" x 12". Excellent condition. Shipping is FREE within the U.S.

This print is Haku Maki’s 78-6 水Water, number 108 in an edition of 151. Earlier that year,1978, he had already produced dramatic single-kanji large black and white prints. The first two, 78-1 Mountain and 78-2 Water, both horizontal prints, were 17in W x 9.25in H. They were followed soon after by 78-6, also horizontal. But this depiction of the kanji for water is nearly twice the size of the previous two: his 78-6 is 32.5 inches wide and 17 inches high (83cm W X 43.5cm H)...

Linocut print, the sheet 10 1/4" by 14", unframed, numbered at lower left 70/100 and pencil signed at lower right and dated there 1971, the "HB" blind stamp nearby, by the important and still highly underrated Swiss-California modernist HANS GUSTAV BURKHARDT (1904-1994). The subject is somewhat uncertain; perhaps a look at a catalogue raisonne of the artist's graphic works would provide the title...
