It was created and printed in 1911 in an edition of 40 impressions. The image measures 8 7/8X 11 3/4 inches. Pencil signed lower right border. A fine study in shadows and highlights. Pencil signed, numbered limited edition print, 18" by 21 1/2" inside the mat, (25" by 28 3/4" as framed), titled "Pareja con Kiva" ("Couple with Kiva") by noted Arizona-based artist AMADO MAURILLO PENA. Pena is known for his Southwestern genre themes, dealing with the Native American and the land upon which he lives. See the web for much more information. This print is numbered at lower left 22/65, and is signed at lower right (a blindstamp appears there as well)...

Over the course of his print-making life, Haku Maki often depicted the kanji for Man, Woman, and Child. This is a “man” from 1979; it measures 9.5in W x 10.75in H and numbers 42 of a total edition of 204.

This, like many of his research notes, was an addendum to his book, The Life and Works of Haku Maki, which he published in 2007. He wrote an Appendix to the book called Chasing Maki. It is his story of buying prints and collecting images of Maki prints. This research note, written 10 years later, is about one of his chases, a chase that failed. Dan wrote: Please enjoy.

This 1927 etching by the American artist Roland Clark measures 7 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed and titled. Roland Clark studied at The Art Students League with J. Carroll Beckwith in New York. An avid outdoorsman he combined his love of the outdoors into his many paintings and etchings. Selected to do the 1938 Federal Duck Stamp Design, he also wrote and illustrated books about his hunting experiences.

Ovesized Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Takafune Village” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated 2004, and numbered 8/100 in the lower margin. Paper size: 22 1/8" x 14 3/4" (image: 18 1/4" x 10 3/4"). This etching was never framed and is in excellent condition.

Lithograph print "The Tyresmith", 1890, featuring a Chelsea (London) wheelwright's shop, by JAMES ABBOTT McNEIL WHISTLER (1834-1903). Forges and smithies are said to have been a lifelong favorite subject of Whistler. My research online suggests that this example is one of the 500 to 1000 examples printed from a transfer stone, to be published in The Whirlwind 2, no. 20, issue of November 15, 1890...
