This is an oriignal aquatint etching by British artist Leonard R. Squirrell, this etching was created and printed in 1924 in an edition of 75 signed proofs. The image measures 11X16 1/4 inches. Pencil signed by the artist in pencil lower right border. Fine use of highlight and shadow making a dramatic composition. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper. A rare image only found in Museums.

Original hand-signed limited edition lithograph in color by Al Hirschfeld (USA, NY, born in MO, 1903-2003). This work from his Kabuki series is titled "Fuji". It is signed in pencil by the artist lower right and is numbered 122/275. From 1974. Al Hirschfeld was an important American artist, cartoonist, and illustrator, best remembered for his Sunday New York Times art and leisures covers.

This Maki Big Red has the Kanji (Chinese character) for Flower as its theme. The Flower is red and strong; it is set off by a black Sun to the right. A blue tear balances the sun on the left. Maki’s seal in red ink paste, is below the tear, also at the left. Although Maki himself printed this image, the ink looks as if it was layered on by hand. This is 133/154; Print size is about 11” x 18”. We note: the paper in this print is smooth, it does not have the moon-surface effect...
