Old print of what I believe are camellias, 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" inside the mat with hand-drawn outlines, 15 1/4" by 13" in what is now (but might not have been originally) a convincingly distressed gold frame, with hand coloring delicately applied. At upper right near the mat is "Pl." and a number so this was no doubt a plate from a book on botany. The item was probably framed in the early 1960's. Armand Coussens French , 1881 - 1935 Coussens was a talented and prolific color etcher. He combined the techniques of drypoint and soft-ground etching for interesting and delicate results. Artistic, soft-focus photograph of two sailing vessels, titled in pencil at left margin "Gray Dawn", and signed at lower right margin by the noted Nova Scotia, Canada photographer WALLACE R. MacASKILL (1887-1956). This well-known image, in the Pictorialist tradition in which MacAskill was taught, dates to the year 1921. It is in soft-focus, an impressionist technique which values atmosphere over realistic accuracy. Note three white spots at upper left...

Poem 70-10 is the kanji for day 日. It is a striking, simply executed print. Created in 1970, it is now over a half-century old. The print is 17.5in W x 24.5in H, large (but not huge). As Daniel Tretiak has said: In 1970 quite suddenly Haku Maki started producing truly large prints. He tells us that this one was large but Maki was destined to do even larger ones, that year and in 1973.

A fine color etching, "Park Avenue", circa 1929, by the noted Austro-Hungarian etcher, painter, and printmaker Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962). John Sloan 1871-1951 American This is an original etching by American Ash Can School artist John Sloan. The title is: Boys Sledding, it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 100. This impression is hand signed in pencil, titled and annotated a "100 Proofs in the lower border. The image mesures 5 1/4X6 15/16 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet, with tack holes where the artist held the sheet down to dry. Very fine condition.
