Rare, large folio size (16 1/2" by 20 3/4" inside the existing mat) hand-colored original 19th century lithograph print "Lake Winnipiseogee from Centre Harbor, N.H.". This is a fine and desirable image, examples of which have appeared at auction in New England. Lake Winnipesaukee is the large lake with islands that occupies a portion of central New Hampshire, south of the White Mountains. Condé Nast purchased Vogue in 1909 one year before Turnure's death and gradually grew the publication. He changed it to a women's magazine, and started Vogue editions overseas in the 1910s. Its price was also raised. The magazine's number of publications and profit increased dramatically under Nast's management. It continued to target an upscale audience and expanded into the coverage of weddings...

A circa 1950 artistic black and white photo of the docks at Monterey, California, pencil signed on the mount as "Edna S Deuren" or similar. The gentlemen standing at left with fedoras and cap are looking down on the small fishing craft at a time when Monterey's fishing industry was in high gear. Measurements are 9 1/4" by 7 1/4" (photo itself) and 20 1/2" by 17" as framed. Condition is very good.

This print contains Japanese hieroglyphics not real kanji. It shows "rain" "day" and maybe a bird. It is 19.3x12.6cm.

Etching in dark brownish-black ink, 14 3/8" by 10 1/2" inside the mat (19 3/4" by 15 1/2" as framed), the print numbered at lower left 37/100, while additionally signed and dated there as well in the plate, while titled in the plate "Notre Dame #2" at lower right. This is likely by an artist considered Canadian, CAROLINE HELENA WILKINSON ARMINGTON (1875-1939) rather than by American CAROLINE ARMINGTON (1898-1986), though records for the two seem to be hopelessly entangled...

A very early black and white photo of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of eastern California, signed in the plate at lower right "A. A. Forbes Photo". This is a work of the noted early photographer of the region, ANDREW ALEXANDER FORBES (1862-1921). Forbes was born in Wisconsin, showing early interest in photography. By 1885 he was in Oklahoma, taking photos of the early territorial days there. Continuing ever west with his equipment, he was in Southern California by 1890...

With gofun paste for the flying snow and extensive embossing as snow banks, two women with umbrellas cross a bridge over the river Sumidagawa in a heavy snowfall.
