This is a block print on an unusual paper, the subject a mounted Native American banging his drum while on a white horse, signed in the block by the important "dean of Arizona artists", LON MEGARGEE (1883-1960). The striking image might be after a painting by the artist, who, the story goes, was passed one day in the desert by a warrior in a dreamy trance-like reverie state, working his drum in this manner, barely noticing the white man watching him pass...

Offset poster (not a lithograph) of the July to September 1968 exhibition of works by the famous French Cubist master artist Georges Braque at the prestigious Galerie Beyeler in Basel, Switzerland. This is a rather early landscape etching in brown ink, signed at lower right in pencil by the renowned southwestern artist MICHAEL B. COLEMAN (1946-). The work is numbered 20/20 at lower left margin. Judging from the auction record, which shows that oils have exceeded $50,000, the number of etchings by Coleman's hand is apparently rather limited. This one probably dates to early in his career, perhaps the late 1970's or early 1980's. Coleman was born in Utah and still lives there...

Original etching on BFK Rives paper, "Issachar", from the Twelve Tribes of Israel series, 1973, signed by the artist SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989) at lower right margin and numbered 21/195 at lower left. The work is generally clean and comes with quality gold leaf framing, but no glass. There is slight oxidation within the mat opening. Print is taped at top edge only. Measurements are 22 1/2" by 15 1/2" inside the mat; sheet measures 25 1/2" by 19 3/4"; and finally, 32" by 25" framed.

Large limited-edition Japanese woodblock print by Joshua Rome (b. 1953) titled “Amawaku no Harusame” dated 4/15/1981. The bottom margin is titled, dated, numbered 70/100 and signed in pencil. The artist's red seal is beside the signature. At the bottom margin edge in pencil is "Spring Rain," the artist's name in English, and the original purchase price of $225. Proportion 10 is an exciting Maki offering—white kanji on bright yellow. This use of yellow was fairly rare in Maki’s work. It is a square print—13.625 sq inches—in excellent condition. A ray of sunshine in any collection, on any wall.
