Original black-painted terra cotta sculpture of the head of an apparently African-American man, signed at the base "Marion Goodman". To date I have not located a listing for an artist by this name. The sculpture, which has some age (circa 1950's to 1970'?) measures roughly 18" high by 11" by 8"(including base) and weighs 22 pounds. The artist worked the clay with great skill to create a very life-like face, and the curls of the hair are also treated with care...

Original sculpture (polymer clay over wire) by Robert Lohman (American, 1919-2001). This works is signed "Lohman" and dated 1972 on the base. It measures 23 1/2" in height. Offered in good original condition. Robert Lohman studied at the John Herron Art Institute as well as Cranbrook and Yale. A wonderful porcelain maquette for a painting signed Steinmetz, a German Expressionist painter. Measuring 5.5” height by 5” width

Interesting, well-crafted panel, the design very Art Deco in style, featuring a male nude in reddish brown silhouetted against a silvery background. The panel measures 11 1/2" by 9 1/2" plus 1" wide frame, and is signed in the wet clay at lower right by artist HAL ALTMAN (1922-2011). There is a fine three-dimensional quality to the panel, the hardened clay painted in these two tones, which are so reminiscent of the Deco era...

An interesting and inventive sculpture of a performing elephant balancing upon a ball whilst supporting an acrobat with his trunk. The sculpture is solid bronze and cast in the lost wax technique, cire perdue. This method is able to faithfully reproduce all of the quirky textures that the artist has chosen. The sculpture is mounted on a white marble base and is, as far as I can see, unsigned.
