Printed 1850 Map for France, 21" x 14"(frame size), 17" x 11"(print size), Title is "France En 1850", "A Paris, chez, edit Rue de La Pareheminerie", Atlas National Illustre", 3 tears on the top and bottom, yellowed paper with some yellowed spot, belongs to the private collection in DC area.

Brian Miller Photograph Tampa Street Car Arena Bowl Weekend signed by Miller image 7 by 10" matt 11" by 14"

A colorful and decorative Haitian painting, the subject two women in white clothing at a market, with their baskets and fruits and lengths of cut sugar cane. The work is oil on thin unstretched canvas, in a simple black frame with black mat, and no glass. The piece measures 17 1/4" BY 21 1/4" as framed. The artist signed at lower right "Lauren C.".

Printed from a single block on thick paper. The block is inked in different colors with shading effects to imitate a stencil print.

Brian Miller Photograph New Orleans Gumbo signed. Nice image of the French quarter . Signed image 7 by 10" matt 11" by 14"

Woodblock print by E.M. Washington, paper size 9 3/8" x 6 3/8", image size 4" x 3 3/4", mat 13 1/2" x 11". Black ink on tan paper, depicts a semi nude woman in what looks like bar or speakeasy setting, with gramophone and leering man in the background. Signed by Washington, titled "Quadroon-Gramophone" and numbered 24 of 30. Dated 1924, but actually printed in the 1990's Good condition, in acid free mats with glassine cover over image, paper affixed to back mat with small piece of tape...

Woodblock print by Earl M. Washington, page measures 11" x 8 3/8", woodblock image is 6 1/4" x 5", mat is 13 1/2" x 11". Black ink on cream color paper, in white mats with glassine cover over image. Signed E.M. Washington, titled "Race Mixing", number 2 of 30, with date of 1932, though was printed in the 1990's. Image depicts a violent scene, a black man attacking a nude woman, with knife in his hand. Maybe an image of a racist propaganda poster or leaflet, or an original by Washington...

A 4-7/8" long and 2-1/4" high vintage Inuit Eskimo sopastone carving of a walrus c1950-60. This unsigned (or at least no signature still visible)carving is in fair original condition with no cracks, damage or repairs other than the loss of the two tusks, some chipping to the feet and some minor scrapes. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

I set forth the main aspects of the works of Haku Maki, the main themes of his work, the main aspects of his style, and the broad range of his works. I think I did not realize in 2007 the range and versatility of his work, its drama and subtlety. Since this book was published I have written 9 research notes and many descriptions of key works. Amazon and Ren Brown Collection distribute this book...

A contemporary painting in semi-abstract style, the image apparently of a horse and his flowing mane, staring at the viewer. The work is unsigned. Acrylic on canvas, 16" by 20" (a regular size, easily framed). A twist on equine art.

A contemporary painting on canvas, unframed, 20" by 15 3/4", unframed, the theme seemingly an out-of-this-world painting of space and planets. Difficult to describe, but this sort of imagery is popular, similarsold along the Venice, California boardwalk and elsewhere by enterprising artists. Some of the white spatter seems to be sprayed on. Blue is the general color. Condition is excellent.

Very good impression and color, thick paper, very minor soiling on margins, remains of backing tape

Overall size: 10 x 14 in.

Watercolor painting of a mountain landscape in autumn, signed at lower left with what appears as "F. Renaud". A brook or stream occupies the right center. This is a nicely painted work, 4 5/8" by 6 1/2" inside the mat, 8 3/4" by 10 3/4" simply framed. The watercolor probably dates to the 1960's or 1970's. Photos were taken with the present cloudy non-glare glass removed. I suggest discarding it permanently in favor of regular glass. Ready to hang on the wall as-is, though.

Poster of 1986, "EGE ART LINE TOUR", 27 1/2" by 19 3/4", unframed, hand signed in somewhat faded marker by the noted Danish modern artist, PER ARNOLDI (1941-). This offset poster is not in great condition, having been tightly rolled for a long time, and it is dusty and has some digs in the paper, and edge damage as shown (what appears as diagonal scratch at upper right is light reflecting in scratch on the Plexi)...
