A pastel drawing of autumnal aspen, titled interestingly "Quakies" (after the distinctive way that aspen leaves turn in the wind) on small reverse label, 20" by 16" (22 1/2" by 18 1/2" framed), signed at lower left by noted Nevada woman artist LUVERNE LIGHTFOOT (born ca. 1943). A printed piece affixed to the backing provides a little biographical information but her website describes fully her talents as an artist, teacher, and author of instructional books in the pastel medium...

Maki's Emanation series may well have been 100 different images. This is an early one. It shows a young man ready to grope a woman’s breasts. Who is the man and who is the woman? Adam and Eve? Maki and his wife? Maki and another woman? It measures 16" x 16". Here I show images of the current emanation and single images of other prints in the Emanation series. A well executed watercolor and gouache on paper titled on the back, with an indecipherable monogram and the date in the lower left. Excellent color and good perspective it was probably done by a professional artist, if only I could read the monogram. London framers label on the back of the back board. Image 24 by 18 ¾ inches.

Condition; good, though the mat pulled a little of the color in the upper right. It is laid down on cardboard. SOLD
