Done at one of her sojourns to Miami and her studio there…. Anne Lane studied art at George Mason University in Virginia, completed her education at Saint Patrick’s college, Ireland, where she studied theology and philosophy. Lithograph on paper, 22 1/4" by 25 7/8" inside the mat (30" by 23" as framed), signed in pencil at lower right and numbered 47/180 at lower left, by important 20th century Spanish artist EMILIO GRAU-SALA (1911-1975). This is an apparently clean example (not examined out of frame) of the lithography of this major European artist, the paintings of whom command well into five figures at auctions in Europe and the USA...

Limited edition print of two sumo wrestlers titled TACHIAI by Clifton Karhu. The print is perfectly rectangular - any distortions of the paper are from photography. The tachi-ai (a combination of two Japanese words that mean “stand” and “meet”) is the initial charge between two sumo wrestlers at the beginning of a bout. Clifton Karhu (1927 – 007) was an American artist who settled in Japan after serving there in the U.S. military during WW II and returning as a missionary...

This Autumn Landscape (13 1/2" X 19 1/4") is signed on the lower left side Francis Villeret. This oil on canvas has been cleaned and it is mounted in a new frame. Villeret was born in 1800 and died in 1866. His art can be found in many European Museums.

This etching appears at first glance to be almost certainly a work of famous Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn, but further study shows it to be a 19th century print by Chevalier IGNACE JOSEPH DE CLAUSSIN (1766-1844), ardent, eccentric artist in his own right and a scholar and copyist of graphic work by the Dutch master. De Claussin published in 1824 a catalogue raisonne that at the time was a major contribution to the scholarly study of Rembrandt's prints...
