This is a landscape work by highly regarded American artist THOMAS WILLOUGHBY NASON (1889-1971). The print is signed in pencil at lower right and dated there 1937, when the artist was 48 years old, at mid-career. An ORIGINAL drawing of a mid-19th century gentleman, 8 1/2" by 5 7/8" (16" by 13 1/2" framed), signed at lower right by the well-listed French-born artist, etcher and sculptor, ALPHONSE LEGROS (1837-1911). The drawing is primarily in soft pencil, with some watercolor in the suggestion of a chair, and some faint red in the face area. Legros was born in Dijon in eastern France. He was in Paris while still young, exposed to the art world there...

Acrylic on canvas, 23" by 35" plus 5/8" wide black simple frame, signed on reverse with what could be "Tamworth" or "Ramworth" plus copyright symbol (unsigned on front). This is an op-art type piece with a definite three dimensionality to it.......the dots "float" over the rest of the pattern, casting "shadows".......it's quite the contemporary work and would look great in any modern setting.
