This hand carved rock crystal snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall, 1 ¼ inches wide and 1 inch thick. It depicts a bird resting on a small branch of a gourd plant. The snuff bottle is well hollowed and polished. It has a cone shaped agate top. The crystal has natural grains and impurities.

“Paris Street Scene” Oil on panel 12 ½”x 8 3/8” w/o frame Goeneutte was born in Paris in 1854. In 1871, after working briefly as a lawyer's clerk, Goeneutte entered the studio of Isidore Pils at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts. The Marble Sculpture measures 18" tall x 9" at the base. This appears to be a Sculpture by Constantin Brancusi.(1876-1957). This Sculpture was purchased from an Estate in Highland Park in Dallas, Texas. It was used as a decoration for a private pool at that particular Estate. This Abstract Sculpture is not signed. A fine drawing (10 1/2" by 15 1/4" inside the present mat, 18" by 21 1/2" as framed (no glass) by the well listed Czech artist MAX SVABINSKY (1873-1962), featuring cloud formations and a sliver of land below. The artist signed at lower right and dated the work 1949. The medium appears to be charcoal or soft pencil on paper, with a bit of brown color included. A Svabinsky oil painting sold for over $300,000 at auction in the Czech Republic in 2016...

Through his career, Haku Maki did a wide array of Chinese characters used in the Japanese language as well (kanji). The large prints that Daniel Tretiak called Big Reds were such kanji. Among Maki’s depictions were black kanji on white backgrounds, some stark, some playful, some easily decipherable, others with which he took great liberties. Oil on burlap type canvas, unframed, 29 1/2" by 15", signed at lower right "BEKE", date circa 1950's or early 1960's most likely. The scene is a classic Mediterranean coastline in Italy or Spain, or, just a generic Mediterranean scene conceived by the artist. I don't see a listing for this artist so am offering this as a decorative piece. It is soiled, and would brighten substantially with a professional cleaning.

A small etching, 5 1/4" by 4" (13 1/2" by 10 1/2" in wood frame) featuring the famous familiar front view of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the foreground including the famous bookstalls and a number of figures, signed in the plate (in reverse) "Slanska" and with penciled "Eau-fort original/Slanska" in the lower margin. The name seems to be of Czech origin, and I have not located information on the artist. There is evidence of very slight hand coloring in blue, yellow and pink...

A pencil signed color etching (aquatint), 11 1/4" by 9 3/4" (25" by 22 1/2" framed) by the major French-born artist ANDRE MASSON (1896-1987), numbered at lower left margin 43/50. The title is "Ame Errante" (Wandering Soul) and the work was published in the year 1973. Masson's major oil paintings have exceeded $900,000 at auction, with many over the $500,000 mark, yet his signed prints remain inexplicably affordable...

Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.

Hans Müller was born in 1873. He was a sculptor, and the son of Francis Xavier. Muller studied at the School of Applied Arts and Academy in Vienna under Edmund von Hellmer and Karl Ludwig August Kuehne. He worked from 1900 to 1905 in the studio of Friedrich Christoph Hausmann Frankfurt am Main. Since 1909, he has been a member of the Viennese artists cooperative.
