Fine Chinese green jade Guan Yin pendant; documentation available; very good condition

Circa first third of the 20th century, or maybe earlier, very colorful watercolor on paper of a busy street scene in Napoli (Naples, southern Italy), 22 1/2" by 12 1/2" framed, signed at lower left by artist G. CANO. I count at least 10 figures in the composition, and one burro, complementing the hanging laundry, flowers, and ancient facades. This was likely a piece made for the tourist trade, by a talented artist. The colors are very intense and the condition excellent...

Old watercolor and gouache painting of pink roses, unsigned, first half of the 20th century, 15 1/2" by 31 1/2" framed. The long and narrow work is very clean and ready for that special wall. Has a very shabby chic feeling.

Watercolor painting of yellow roses on their prickly stems, 11" by 7 3/4" (16 1/2" by 12 3/4" framed), unsigned, circa late 19th century or early 20th. There is an old framer's label on the reverse backing from Boston. Condition is good, mat should be replaced, as well as old-style acidic old sawn wood backing boards. The mat edges did leave browning to mark their presence but that would be hidden completely by a new mat.

One of Maki’s favorite themes was the image shown here. Some outstanding ones are shown in the listing. I reckon Maki did about 25 different prints with the theme Child. Several little children can be seen swimming in the image in frame 9. The child in the right of this list panel is the image imprinted in the cover of Festive Wine, to which Maki contributed 21 images in 1969.

Joseph Pennell, American, 1857-1926, "Trinity Church, From the River". This Joseph Pennell etching measures 11 3/4 x 8 3/8 inches, pencil signed, 1904, cat: Wuerth 324, probably in an edition of 25. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes...

A nicely painted work of Boston-born still life painter CHARLES STORER (1817-1907), the subject red roses, painted on gray art board, measuring 10" by 14" (15 1/2" by 19 1/4" framed). The artist signed at center left edge and dated the painting 1901. This is an excellent example of still life work of the period in New England. Storer was born in Boston, He exhibited at the Boston Art Club and the National Academy. Most existing paintings appear to date to near the end of the artist's life...
